It was a great sight to see another breakfast place come to PAT.
What a disappointment in service and quality though, that has only declined as the months have passed.
We were three. Server had a table of two that received their plates before we ordered. She then got two tables of two after we received our plates so the place was not busy at this time (13-14hr on a Thursday).
Our table had 5 flies battling it out for supremacy. I have been in the restaurant industry for 27 years. One fly is an open door issue. Two flies is an annoyance. 3+ flies in same area is an infestation. Looking at the windows and the furniture close to it you can see the cause of the flies. Simple cleaning issue would solve issue.
We asked to move table but found that the fly issue was not just in one area but also at our new table. Again: simple cleaning procedures would solve this.
We mentioned the flies and got a simple « oh sorry ». I understand this cannot be solved in the immediate but take the comment as a helping gesture.
Food came:
toasts were cold upon reception ordered a chocolate milkshake and had to ask for it twice to receive it asked for ketchup and syrup. Had to get up, after finishing half our plate, to get it ourselves
The rest of the plates were great but the service and flies ruined it all. Forgetting items i would put upon the server, the cleanliness i place squarely on management.
For a new restaurant this was disappointing. Upon 5 visits we have seen service issues every time yet this was one of the worst.
We want you to succeed here but please read the complaints and fix the issues. If not, we will simply return to Chez Cora which is a minute away and does not have these issues.
Ball is in your court. We hope you make a slam dunk and not drop the ball to your...
Read moreWe order from this restaurant often and the food is ALWAYS delicious. We decided to go in person this weekend, for the first time since the start of the pandemic. The waitress who served us was excellent. Impeccable service on her part. The food was, as always, delicious.
But after eating, I visited the restroom. I went into the larger, handicap one (with the kids) and there was no soap dispenser. None whatsoever - no bottle of soap, no dispenser, just a hand dryer and sink. I took the kids to the bigger restroom to wash their hands, and this one had a dispenser, but it was complete empty. So now I question the sanitary aspect of this restaurant. Does the staff use these restrooms? How are they washing their hands? And what about other customers, going in there and then putting dirty hands on various surfaces. After two years of drilling sanitary measures, this left me very unimpressed and uncomfortable.
Also, we got there very early, before the rush, so it’s highly unlikely that the few customers there at that time Used ALL the soap (and left with the dispenser).
Hopefully they will rectify this situation promptly, because it really is a great...
Read moreWhere to begin?? The person that greeted us seemed uninterested at her job welcoming guests, She seated 3 groups of guests before seating us. We were at the restaurant way before those groups and there was a couple of tables that could have accommodate us, by the way we were 5 people and the other groups were on average 3 people and yet they were given tables accommodating 5 people. Also once seated, our waiter did not offer nor put any glasses of water. He served us a cup of coffee and our meal with a forced smile. I felt like we were a burden to him. Never once during our meal he came to see us if everything was to our satisfaction or if we needed anything. Never offered a coffee refill. The other tables had plenty of cream, sugar and jam, yet we barely had sugar and cream and no jam. Our waiter was not rude, just did his job, nothing more, nothing less. As for the food, i would give 5 out of 10. Next time I will go...
