Very DISAPPOINTED!!!

I deliberately waited for a TUESDAY for my third time order from this store via UberEats, thinking I'd be getting their freshly baked olive-ciabatta, because they are close every Sunday-Monday and open every Tuesday of the week.

I even up my quantity to 5 olive-ciabatta pieces, because I love them very much. Well, at least I did, the very first time I had them, which also happened to be on a TUESDAY.

Unfortunately, they arrived UN-fresh, almost stale and had to be eaten the same day, kind of condition, the same condition they delivered to me when I ordered 6 pieces the second time around, previously! There goes my plan to savour and enjoy them slowly and deliciously for the next 3 days!!!

Why do stores do this? Do they think that when people order in bulk, they can just offload their expiring items and be rid of it immediately, without a thought that paying customers deserve a chance at enjoying the food? I AM SOOO DONE with you, Boulangerie Patisserie La Conca d'Oro!!!

Ordered pastries on an app to save food waste and received cakes with mouldy raspberries on them. Went back to tell them that the raspberries on the cake were mouldy and the employee removed the mouldy raspberries and replaced them with fresh raspberries. Although the pastries were purchased from a food saving app it doesn’t mean that I should be sold food unsafe for consumption. Instead of throwing away their mouldy food they sell it for a lesser amount. Mould is something that spreads and penetrates food and the food shouldn’t be consumed if it starts to mould. Are you kidding me?! My parents brought us this massive lobster tail and oh my goodness…it was insane. I’ve had Italian pastries from nearly every Italian bakery on this island throughout my life, but boy oh boy, La Conca D’Oro does NOT mess around. Our lobster tail was absolutely filled to brim with ricotta and nearly BURSTING at the seams. I mean it weighed like 5 pounds!! And the zeppoli are ultra filled and delicious just the same. Recommend for sure

Update 03/25/23

Tried their pizza and prosciutto/capicollo/salami sandwich…for 6.99 the sandwiches are an excellent lunch option. Obviously you’ll have this alongside one of their baked goods..try the amaretti cookies! Melt in your mouth goodness....
