This is a funky independently owned coffee shop in the under-appreciated East End of Montreal that serves coffee and cocktails. It's set up for musicians to perform and also local artists to sell their work. There are two small comfy rooms with large couches that are lounges decorated with art for sale. The coffee is really good as is the food. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Food offerings much better than the franchises. Decor can be described as eclectic, so feels homey unlike the industrial feel of the franchises. If visiting Montreal and UR downtown, take the metro a few more stops to this place. Well worth it. They speak English!

This coffee shop is a must to discover in the neighborhood. Not only does it offer you a very velor ambiance it also has a concert programmation. This coffee shop occupies the same space that was occupied by the Green Cross, a compassion clinic that offer cannabis expertise before the legalization for patient's who were in need of pain relief and palliative care. The coffee offered is excellent and there's also a wide selection of sandwiches and cakes, cookies and croissants. A special mansion to Chantal one of the owner who's absolutely delightful to have a conversation with. Ps ideal place for a first date ☺️☺️

Cafe La Ligne Verte is my favourite cafe in Montreal! Everyone who works here is so friendly, and the prices are really good. You can have different experiences--you can bring your laptop and work, they have really good coffee and good baked goods. It's also a cultural centre, so there are events all the time--amazing music, poetry readings, comedy, and they even have art hanging to look at. Usually in the evenings there are events, but the cafe is large enough that you could still have a quiet moment in the corner if you wanted. I have seen the BEST music here, and it's been great to learn more about music in Montreal. They have a good selection of beer (and also affordable wine). it's nice to come here for supper too, or sometimes after work I just want a beer and some empanadas. All the food is delicious, the events are great-whenever people visit me in Montreal I bring them here and they love it! Come here, you will love...

Extremely slow service. The woman who served me ignored me and chatted with another person while I waited. Took her time heating up the food, and her facial expression said she couldn't be bothered. She's middle aged, kind of chubby, thick wavey dark brown hair with some highlights.

She treats some clients with a warm smile, while to others she's glaringly rude. I wonder what her basis of discrimination is. So it's basically a Russian roulette of hateful customer service. Try your luck I guess. Maybe the owner needs to pay her better or something. Won't go again, but I'm using their wifi to post this...
