The purported originality of Dagwoods in the city notwithstanding, my recurring visits to their establishment in the area have culminated in what I can only describe as an abhorrent dining ordeal. This lamentable experience stands unparalleled in my extensive history of restaurant patronage. From the unspeakably filthy floors to the grimy windows, the squalor extends unabated to every corner, including the restroom facilities and the food preparation area. The negligent disregard for basic cleanliness is truly appalling. Furthermore, the disdainful demeanor of the elderly proprietor leaves much to be desired in terms of customer service proficiency. A visit during the bustling lunch hour revealed a paltry staff of two individuals manning the counter, exacerbating the already dire situation. It is incomprehensible how such a repugnant establishment continues to operate unchecked. Are there no regulatory bodies tasked with ensuring the sanitary standards of food service establishments? How can we, in good conscience, subject unsuspecting patrons to the hazards posed by such deplorable conditions?
One would expect that government agencies responsible for conducting regular inspections would swiftly shutter such an unsanitary establishment upon witnessing the deplorable conditions within. The continued operation of this facility in blatant defiance of health and safety regulations raises serious concerns regarding the efficacy of regulatory oversight. Read moreThe worst customer service I’ve ever seen in a Dagwoods restaurant. I went into the store and there was no staff at the front. I waited for 5 minutes before simply saying “hello” to let the staff know I was in line waiting.
A young Asian employee comes out from the back and instead of saying “hello”, gives an angry stare and rudely says “do you know what you want?”. Horrendous customer service and when I tried to ask why she was showing attitude and refusing service, she eventually said that she doesn’t talk English and only French - the whole first 5 minutes, she was fine with speaking English so there was no issue. When I changed to speaking French to understand why saying “hello” was a problem, she continued to refuse doing her job. This is wrong and the employee should be coached on how to greet customers! This store needs to do better. This store brings negative attention to the Dagwoods brand, which is rare.

Went to order a sandwich and asked the girl who worked there what is in some of the sandwiches and she asked me to look at the menu she got annoyed that she had to tell me what's in there , was very rude not sure why she is working there! Owner said if I don't want the sandwich I can just leave. He doesn't respect clients it's the second time I go there and he's been rude . I will never go back and he lost many clients today . Customer service is key and respecting clients when they are buying from you . If you don't like your job or having a bad day you don't need to take it out on clients .
