I love to find restaurants when the experience was just by chance. Following a day of Ballroom dance, pickleball and running 2 miles, I was hungrier than a bear without a dump to forage.
Ye Sushi has been open 14 months, chef owned with an attentive Korean staff. On arrival there were 2 clients waiting to take out. Nevertheless my order of sushi was processed quickly. Served on a large white rectangular plate, the sushi(Nigiri) was aesthetically presented but more importantly the octopus,squid and spicy tuna and yellowtail were fresh and rolled in a sweet rice that added materially to the overall experience. As well, sides of spicy mayo, a fine soya sauce, fresh ginger and artistic Wasabi pinches were excellent complements to the standard items ordered. Poke Bowls, sashimi and a large number of Maki rolls are also on the menu to be tested. Weekends are apparently busy, decor is humble and prices are reasonable. Read moreYe Sushi is a great sushi place, one of my favorite in Montreal! The menu offers a nice variety of options, especially the many sets that they have available. The sushi is always fresh, the staff is welcoming, friendly and nice. When dining in, they serve tea with every meal and always ensure the teapot is full. Oh and it’s a BYOB, or as we much prefer, bring your own sake :)! We’ve only had good experiences with this restaurant. Highly recommend!

Read moreWe were practically alone in the restaurant. It took 45 minutes for our food to start arriving. They were clearly prioritizing delivery service orders.
The food was good and tasted fresh but the maki was poorly and loosely wrapped. We had to eat with our hands because the maki rolls were getting undone as soon as we touched them.
They give you the tiniest shreds of ginger and 2 drops of wasabi. You have to pay for extra.
$9 for 3 pieces of sashimi is highway robbery.
