I and my pregnant wife have been going to your restaurant for over a year now. So, we were shocked and appalled by the extremely aggressive unprofessional matter which a man claiming to be the manager Nagir Akbain (which we are not sure is his name because he refused to give it to us several times" stating it was his private information") thank god for cell phone us we were able to record the whole thing, it got so bad we had to threaten to call the police as he wouldn't stop touching my pregnant wife leaving her shaking as in this country, Mr. Nagir Akbain might not be aware that men don't treat woman like that and discrimination is not tolerated here. It all started when I went to use my status card which I have used it in this restaurant a number of times, with no problem. The waiter informed us that the manager was no longer accepting my status card, which is illegal and when we asked for the name of the manager he refused to give it to us his name at first but offered to refund back our money next week, which made no sense, I asked him again, at which point he stated that Indian should pay their taxes. I cannot begin to explain how humiliating and embarrassing this was. What your manager did was so unacceptable and I can not believe a company like you would want to be associated with such discrimination and racial behavior. I hope that this is just an isolated incident and you will take the disciplinary action with this employee otherwise, I will have no choice but to release the video of your manager making discriminatory remark and touching a pregnant woman without her consent, even after she told him not too, in this day in age this type of behavior will not be tolerated address your employee's behavior and let us see this is an isolated incident. Mistakes happen, but no apology, no replacement, no acknowledgement on the health concerns of cross contamination, and no respect for the other customers when your waitress, Dayna, talks loudly about my boyfriend “causing issues over a blueberry (no mold mentioned, of course)”. You gave a big fuss about us trying to scam you when you charged us $3.00 for a single spray of whipped cream on a $3.25 hot chocolate?
We understand you took off a meal from our tab. But this took 5-10 minutes of a confrontation. The mold was in TWO of our dishes (the blueberry and a cherry). All we asked for was a replacement or to have the fruit removed from our bill as neither fruits on both plates were touched. We were frequent customers, we enjoyed your establishment. This was unbelievable behaviour.
We care for the customers who expect a level of hygiene, health, and safety when eating there. Our point is that mistakes happen but HOW you dealt with it is what we cared about. You told us that “it happens all the time because you buy big bags of the fruit” so for future customers, check the fruit they serve you. They then admitted to having put mold on my plate and said it happens sometimes, and that we were making a big deal out of nothing. This is a completely truthful statement. You can’t say im saying anything untruthful in this review (even though my last one was truthful as well, by my interpretation of the situation, not your misinterpretation of my words). You, the owner and chef of this establishment, were rude to me and my friend, and spoke very loudly with hostility. You did not offer any apologies, nor did you offer any solutions until you eventually said you would take the plate off the bill after a good 10 minutes rudely speaking to us, when all my friend asked for was a few dollars since the fruit was cross-contaminated by the moldy fruit.
You said you have audio clips of it that you could take me to court with. While you would be right in assuming that I would rather avoid that, this review would be completely truthful in what those will show.
I took down my review because you believed it was untruthful and threatened legal actions. But am I not allowed to express my disappointment with your restaurant and service?
