Tonight, Nov. 25, 2022 @ 10:00pm, my bestie and I went to this resto/bar because it was my bestie’s first time here. Il always here during summer, but he’s craving for a poutine and chicken wings, so I thought, why not, I already know this place. So we ordered the food we wanted. Specially the poutine. My bestie asked if the chicken wings are together or not (like a combo) so this server (big guY), asian looking maybe native (in retrospect, I respect them and it is my culture too).
Anyhow, so he still ordered the poutine. Which the guy misunderstood it.
So after we got our food, ( missing poutine) we thought maybe he forgot or it wasnt ready yet. So wd started eating, but it is like 20 good minutes. So I asked another guy where is our order poutine?
So he went to check i guess. So im looking around and trying to find my serveur, apparently he’s busy serving others.
Long story short, he came and spoke to him. Mind you, i work in restaurant industry for 10-15 years. But he didnt handle us nicely. So I asked him where is the poutine? (Very nice and respectful way) then he started talking about oh your friend says here there that blahh blahh blahh.
So i was like wth????
Anyways, magically after 5 mins, a poutine arrived. Then I call my server, he said. Oh i didnt punch it but my other colleague, WE GOT F**KING CONFUSED, we never hac another server.
Anyhooo.,, Next time (you work in a customer service place, and value you throught tips and kindness)
You could have said, you apology for misunderstanding and ask if you still want to get it.
OWN IT WHEN YOU MADE a mistake, or just do the max you could to revert the incident with respect that there are you clients. DONT GIVE ATTITUDE TO THESE CHSTOMER NOT UNLESS THEY ARE RUDE!
Sorry i just got upset and lost appetite on the way we were treated, why because we are asians? Or visible minority that we are differently serve like others (people arround us were white) And seems we are more...
Read moreSpring 2025: All was okay The fish and chips was honest in taste, not too much batter, and well cooked. The fries were over cooked and a bit oily and lukewarm. Service was fast and professional. 2 years later and FINALLY the food was good! I ordered the club sandwich and guess what I was pleasantly surprised!. The large marinated chicken was well cooked and tasty, Fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and plenty of mayonnaise. The french fries were cooked to perfection and not over salted as it used to be. One thing, service was very slow, not good for lunch time workers. At this rate I WILL come back!
BTW 2013 was a year to forget, just could not write another bad review.
One year later, October 12 2022. That was the only patio still open and again such a disapointment.
I ordered the Classic Burger what could possibly go wrong? The beef patty was burned, dry and cold! The staff where all about 17yo, but polite and efficient. When I asked the waiter what was the monthly special he did not know, he looked on his tablet and could not find it either...so this is when I decided to order the classic. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir, but I'm sure I got a heavy cabernet instead...I asked for fries with not salt, and that is about the only thing that was palatable. Note that there is NO WIFI. Not too impressed again... Good service but always disappointed with the food. I ordered the Buffalo Fried chicken meal (including french fries and salad) the chicken was ultra processed and they ruined the fried crust by adding the buffalo sauce on it, served on a bun, blue cheese, gherkins, tomato and onions. French fries looked nice but...
Read moreVery unpleasant experience today and I won’t recommend this restaurant to anybody. Long story short, the waiter charged us pre-tip price at $65.54 where it should be $42.54 only and without a printed bill even. My friend and I went to this restaurant on June 5, 2021. When we asked for the bill, the waiter presented his internal table seating map through his iPad device rather than providing us a printed bill. The device only showed the table and seat numbers – there was no food order records nor price. He further verbally repeated the items that we ordered and then said the total is $65.54. I was a bit shocked when I heard the price as we only ordered two regular brunch meals and one orange juice. While I was quickly running in my head, my friend already made the payment and tipped the waiter at 18%. Before the waiter left, I felt the price was way too high and asked him to give us a printed bill. After a long waiting, he finally came back and said “sorry, I made a mistake. Your total should be $42.54 but I charged you based on $65.54 and you paid $77.34 in total. Here I return you $30 in cash…” Now, I feel his entire action is suspicious - why the waiter didn’t bring us the bill at the first place but only verbally told us the “price” is $65.54? Is this a true mistake or a trick? I have never seen any restaurant in Canada who would “verbally” tell customer the price without any support. Attachment is our evidence – the left is the credit card payment receipt, timed at 14:42pm and the right is the bill upon requested, the printed time is 14:45pm. As you can see the bill is actually printed after we made the payment upon...
