Update on March 23, 2025
Amazing food to go along with amazing service. New owners who are excellent with customer service.
Amazing food and generous portions. I had the omelette with bacon and swiss cheese, and it never disappoints. The potatoes are partially delicious.
I usually avoid giving a bad review, but this time I found it unreasonably bad customer service.
Excellent service is what I USUALLY say about this Petino's location, as I have been here dozens and dozens of times.
However, today August 25, 2024, although the restaurant was quite busy, there were some empty tables and booths for four or more people. Three pairs of people that were waiting for a table were seated side-by-side at a table for six where the 3 tables were separated by just a few inches. Unfortunately we got the middle table and there was barely enough room to move. The couples on the end tables at least had free space on the other side of them.
There was so little room for us that I had nowhere even to put my purse as there was not enough room to hang it on my chair and the floor at my feet had crumbs and food on it.
When we asked if we could please be seated somewhere else like at an empty booth that was right near us we were told that we would have to go wait in line again.
When we protested over why should we go stand in line again as we were clearly there before the other few people in line we were told that our table would go to the next people in line since we gave it up and we would end up back at the end of the line.
Again, I repeat that there were at least three empty booths for 4 and an empty table for six available.
I am not suggesting that we should be seated at a table for six, but why not give a booth for four to two people if it was empty?
We were finally seated at a small booth for two, but two of those booths for 4 stayed empty the entire time we were there.
My friend and I have gone to this Petino's multiple times, and usually the service is very good.
Not sure why today they made such an issue over a simple change in seating.
The hostess seemed to be particularly bothered by...
Read moreI don't usually post reviews, but I had to write about the horrible experience I had at this Petinos, particularly with the owner, Chris. I went with a group of friends on a busy Saturday (we were 7). When we entered the restaurant, we were only 5 people, so they wouldn't seat us until all 7 of us were present. Fair enough. We waited half an hour. As soon as we were 6, we got in and they sat us. Chris saw that we were not 7, but 6 and immediately start accusing us, in a very aggressive tone, that we were trying to act "smart". I told him that my other friend is parking his car as we speak, and that I will order the plate my friend wants (it was getting late at this point and we wanted to eat). Chris got excessively mad, he REMOVED the coffee they had served us, took off the menus and told us to get out and wait outside if we were not 7. He did this as the whole restaurant was watching. WTF. Because we wanted to have good time and avoid trouble, we got off our chairs and headed to the entrance, without arguing. At that point, the 7th friend was there. So we went back and asked if we could now sit and enjoy the food. But suddenly Chris stopped us. He yelled at us and insulted us, supposedly because we made comments about him when he removed the coffee. He was extremely hostile, saying words such as "you got something to say about me buddy?", " This is my store, I am the owner" " This is my house, you don't come here and disrespect me, get the f**k out of here". I have never, in my life, saw an owner of a restaurant lack so much respect and decency with his customers, especially since we didn't do anything to aggravate or cause a ruckus. He was even spouting and insulting us, as my little cousin (14 years old) was next to us, and as the whole restaurant was watching. It seems to me that this owner is on a power trip. I can only imagine how he treats his employees or other customers on the regular. I would really advise you from eating at that restaurant. Who knows what the owner might do to you (or the food) if he's in a bad mood. If I could give a 0 star review, I would do it in...

This establishment located in Saint-Laurent is grossly lacking any customer service! Upon arrival Sunday, October 14, 2018 for brunch, we proceeded to give our name and number of people in our party to the young hostess girl. We waited approximately 10-15 minutes when she turned to my father who was standing next to me and indicated to him to follow her to a free table. As we sat looking through the menu for about 5 minutes and began to order with the waiter, the hostess abruptly arrived at our table with her boss “Chris”, the franchise owner. The latter asked us which name we gave upon arrival and then accused us of jumping the line as the hostess had called another party’s name. We tried to explain that his employee did not call a name but had just turned to my father standing next to her and waved to follow her to the table. The owner Chris just flatly ejected us from our table in front of all the patrons in the restaurant! This was one of the most embarrassing and humiliating experiences to put a customer through!!! The owner showed absolutely no customer service skills at all in handling the situation nor any empathy at all!! Rather than owning up to their error and seamlessly arranging for the next available table to be assigned to the previously waiting clients, this management team felt it was more important to leave a negative perception to a first time customer!
Suffice it to say, this business does not deserve yours or my patronage no matter how good the food may be or how great the value is! Mr. Chris, your business will not survive if you continue with such customer service ethics.
I would NOT recommend this location - AVOID this place like the plague!!
