Pho 99 — Restaurant in Montreal

I was expecting a lot from this places with all the good reviews ... I had the special pho which I find it lack of flavor big time! The beef balls were so blend not a taste of beef at all ... the meats had a weird aftertaste .... My sister took the beef rice lunch special. the beef were too salty and the rice was so wet that she didnt even add the fishy sauce on her dish because it would have turn into a rice porridge. The ranch dressing on the salad was too much ... Not a place to go if you're searching for an authentic...

Ordered lunch from the restaurant yesterday. I had the lemongrass chicken and vegetables with rice and two of my co-workers ordered lunch midi soup combo, and one ordered chicken,beef and shrimps with rice. The flavors were off for all of us. Not the greatest food. And we all have stomach issues today. Wonder if the ingredients were not cleaned or cooked well? Never again going to...

I came here because of the reviews. I saw best pho broth and best peanut butter sauce. The food was decent and the price was fair but I can't say I was overly impressed. The broth lacked flavour and depth. It didn't taste like a pho broth. I found it tasted more like a wonton soup broth. The spring rolls were good and so was the sauce. The best part of my meal was the papaya...
