Authentic home made traditional polish food.

We ordered from them for Christmas Eve dinner some traditional polish food as we were busy this year and could not muster the effort to do it our selves. We are glad we did.

The pierogi 🥟 are tasty. The bigos, especially the vegan version is outstanding. Borscht soup was sweet but delicious. It's not the sour version. Cakes were good. Vegetable salad also known as Russian salad was rich and creamy.

Service was amicable and efficient.

Pricing is on the high side but still fair for the quality of food.

Note that the fish and potatoes on the picture are not from there but their menu does include meats as well.

I recommend it for those who want real polish food...

I was looking for something new to try and found this place on google. Inside had super cute warm homey vibes. When i got in the owner greeted me and was super nice and asked me if i ever had fresh pierogies. It was my first time so i took the classic potato and cheese filled pierogies topped with bacon (you can ask without if you’re vegetarian) and comes with sour cream to dip it in. It was freshly made, hot and delicious! The owner also gave me a free side of cabbage salad since it was my first time trying fresh pierogies! :) There were other kinds of filling for the pierogies and they had other options to choose from too 10/10...

Today, Monday July 15, 2024 we ate at Pyza at 1256 Dollard Street, LaSalle next to the Fire Station. We ordered potatoe/onion, potatoe/mushroom, cheese/potatoe and spinach/feta. We also had an order of potatoe pancakes. Everything was super good, the owner (Suavek) is very friendly and accomodating. This was our first time at this restaurant and he chose to have us choose 2 different pierogies on our dish. My husband and I tasted all 4 pierogies and all 4 very good and tasty. He makes homemade coleslaw which is equally delicious. He also made us taste the polish sausage which is very good. We'll be back for sure:)...

I had eaten all of my homemade pierogies so I was on my way to the east end to buy some real Polish ones ie. None contaminated by cheddar etc. Luckily, I found this place in Lasalle. My pierogi ( pot cheese and potato plus mushroom and kapusta) and potato pancakes were made to order. I also picked up a liter of beet borscht. The reason I put 3 down for atmosphere is because there is a very small place to sit down to eat. Very wonderful interaction with the owner!! Will be back! FYI: they make there own saurkraut with apple!
