Harmonie Orientale — Restaurant in Montreal

After years of placing the same order and having had a good experience with this restaurant, unfortunately this will be the last time we will be ordering from here. My husband called and placed the usual order, however we received a completely different order. Thinking it could have been a possible mix up, my husband returned to the restaurant to explain the issue and was met with aggression and was gas lit by the man who took the order (this was the FIRST time this man took our order). He berated my husband and blamed him for placing an incorrect order and not saying the dishes correctly. Unlike this man, my husband had integrity and responded with politeness until our order was finally fulfilled. It is unfortunate however responses like this are unmerited and will lead to a serious decrease in clients if continued. We will certainly be taking our business elsewhere...

Ordered take out for first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the interior dining area when arrived to pickup the order and that they are a bring your own wine establishment! The food is classic montreal area chinese recipe with good quality. Basically, I got what I ordered and food tasted as expected! I ordered the Szechuan menu for two which had plenty of leftovers that still tasted just as good when reheated next day. There is a slight up charge for takeout menu vs dining room. Given the dining room is so nice, and cheaper, I will probably just eat there next time and bring a bottle of wine rather than get takeout and recommend you...

This place is wonderful. The service was timely, good service. The food was excellent. There is a big variety, dinner for one and including the tip was, 22.95. I had the Szechuan chicken with crispy spinach, including a soup and a spring roll. My friends had other dishes and everyone enjoyed their meal. The restaurant is furnished and everything looks new and clean. The bathroom was very nice and clean. My only problem was my G.P.S. told me that the address was on the wrong side of the street and we got lost for 10 minutes driving in the dark and it was difficult to see the addresses.
