Restaurant Pho Ngon — Restaurant in Montreal

Update July 2nd: Came with family to order soup. cost 40$. We didnt had change so we could only give 1$ tips. Cashier gave attitude to us and litteraly insulted us for that. I went to the cash machine and gave him 20$ tips. Tips are supposed to be optional, to the discretion of the client. I've been there for years and gave a lot of tips in the past and refered many people to this restaurant. But now I see they literally dont care about you. Oh, also, they clean your table while your not even finished eating. So rude. And they took forever to serve us. They also only give water at start. But not in between. To the point I had to drink the water from my father's cup which he didnt finished drinking. Waiters are chit chatting among each other instead of taking care of us. Lastly, they dont give a receipt and work under table. Worst customer service in Montreal. Beware.

Ps: Oh, This restaurant only take cash. No debit, no credit card. If you have no cash, they will tell you to use the ATM machine, which, above this, takes an extra 2.99$ fees on your card bank ( which also into the restaurant Pocket...

I have been to this place many times because I like the food. But the service last time (2023-05-16) was terrible. The restaurant was half empty and I decided to sit by the side of my date and not across the table, so I joined two tables that were near. The server came to tell me that I could not join two tables; I would have understood that if there was a lot of people but again, the restaurant was half empty... Anyways the server separated the tables. I stood by the side of my date and the server came to tell me that I had to sit across the table (not in a nice way). My food came in first and about 7 minutes after we were still waiting for the second plate. When I asked the server he just shouted at me saying that this was not a high class restaurant and that the plates would come out when they are ready. When I went to pay for the food, the server requested a tip and I told him that I did not like the service and I would not give a tip. He looked at me and told me that I should go to mcdonalds next time, that it's better over there. I will...

Absolute joke of a restaurant. I went there this morning with a friend. Place had alot of people with the exception of couple of seats being empty.

Dude approched us and asked how many people and tried to place us literally 2 inches away from a couple, we requested them to place us near the window instead which is for 4 people they said no.

Fair enough I said nvm and was walking away, as we are walking away my friend overhead the staff mocking us saying "u guys need to go there" and pointed at Harveys.

Imagine working for tips and not even treating customers as people lol. What an absolute bottom feeder. Lucky I didn't hear it because if he said it to me directly it would have gotten real ugly. I don't play like that. Only in Saint Michel a restaurant like this can fly. They don't even accept credit cards. Absolute scums.

Last time I actually ate there their porc chops were undercooked to the point where it's bloody and the tendons are uncooked almost.
