We had the pleasure of visiting Zykaa on a Monday night a little before close. We were greeted with a warm welcome from Yasmeen, got a nice table near the window and got served the best water I've had in a while in some very nice steel cups. We ordered The Qorma and Chicken Jalfrezi, with a side of Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan. We also got a Mango Lassi as well. The Qorma had a subtle sweet taste because of the coconut, which I was never a fan of before, but Zykaa gave me a change of heart. The Chicken Jalfrezi paired well with the rice; I should also say that this is the FIRST Chicken Jalfrezi that I have tried that tasted EXACTLY like my Mother's. The Garlic Naan was very nice and fluffy, not too salty or buttery. The Mango Lassi, to top it all off, was great. I do wish it was a little less sweet, but still very enjoyable. Everything from the ambiance to the food, silverware and the service was incredible. This was the first time I took my Love to try Pakistani Cuisine, and she was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. Moreover, we both appreciated Yasmeen's service and hospitality; she made us both feel very welcome and special, and was the sweetest lady throughout. We will definitely return again, and recommend this place to our friends. Reminded me much of my childhood, especially with all the throwback music being played haha. Much love to Yasmeen, the Cooks and everyone a...

Appetizers came 20min after our group had received the appetizers, the tandoori chicken was a coloured, dry, spruces chicken breast cut in slices and served on a sizzling plate. I have had tandoori chicken before, this piece of meat was not even close to a tandoori clay oven, dry tasted powdery (spices) and I could only eat 2 slices before I had to chug my glass of water.

The rice was dry, not spiced and was missing flavour.

The samosa I got was drowning and dripping of oil because they threw it in the fryer and straight onto the plate so it’s “hot and fresh” but clearly old.

Service is nice but the food quality vs price is not met whatsoever. I tried it and I will say that I will not come back.

A big letdown!

Atmosphere was (I can’t even find words) bland. Music would start and the stop for 20min to start again and then stop, really annoying.

Water refill did not happen either and it was not even full and they had 2 servers with a total amount of 18 clients…

Also keep in mind (it’s 2024….) they only accept cash no...

Never again! It was horrible in every way.

The pakora tasted like it was made a week ago and just reheated in the microwave today. All of the fried food tasted like it was made days ago and just re heated before delivery. It’s supposed to be crispy because it’s fried but it was so dry that I couldn’t eat it or enjoy it so I just threw it out.

And the palak paneer had only one piece of Indian cheese it in.

And the naan bread didn’t taste fresh either. It tasted like a store bought naan bread...

I wanted to try zykaa and I thought I would be happy because if its reviews but now I just want to throw up...

Not to mention, initially I was going to order by phone instead of Ubereats and the girl on the phone wanted to charge me more than ubereats charges. I asked her why and she said « because Uber eats doesn’t always have the right prices » I knew something was off but I still ordered on Uber eats and well...never again!

If you want amazing Indian food, order from : « plaisirs indiens » (same as Sandhu) on...

I moved to the East End last year, and this was the first time I've been to an Indian restaurant. The quality of the food overall was excellent. I started with the vegetable samosas which were DELICIOUS. Then I ordered a lamb curry with a garlic naan, and both were also excellent. I would have preferred the curry to be spicier, but this is no reason to give less than five stars, next time I'll ask for it. I washed everything down with the most perfect Mango Lassi (the nectar of the Gods). The restaurant has a vibe of a small, family-run business. I went very last on a Sunday, and there was only one woman in the front-of-house, split between the table service and the take-out orders she still managed to offer friendly service. All in all, I absolutely recommend this place, and I will DEFINITELY return very soon. 16/12/2023: had the Palak Paneer today, and it was delicious as expected! Also, their naan is top-tier.

While visiting Montreal, I was in the mood for some comforting Indian food and decided to place an Uber Eats pickup order from Zykaa around 8 PM. The food was simple and decent — nothing fancy, but it did the job when you’re craving something familiar. For the price, it’s fair and the portion sizes are generous, which is always a plus for takeout. While the flavors weren’t quite as authentic as I was hoping for, it still made for a satisfying meal. I also tried the Gulab Jamuns — they were okay, though a little different from the traditional taste I’m used to. The service was friendly and smooth, and it’s nice that they have parking available either behind the restaurant or on the street nearby. If you’re looking for an easy, no-fuss Indian meal at a good price, Zykaa is a nice little spot to consider.

my roomate wanted to eat indian food for iftar (evening meal during Ramadan) so I called and placed a reservation for two. we came a bit early and as soon as we arrived our waitress asked us if we want our plates few minutes before iftar time so we can eat it at a good temperature. Few moment later, the owner came and offered dates for my friend. She really appreciated and felt like home. We both ordered butter chicken, bryani chicken rice, naans. everything was perfectly executed and greatly seasoned (we asked for spicy food). we ended with gulab (a bit too "wet and juicy" in our opinions but still delicious). 60$ for two including tip. Very happy to discover this new place. Indian restaurants are rare in East Montreal and this one is for sure, one of the best ! I will come back for the lunch buffet.
