George's Kitchen + Ice Cream — Restaurant in Morden

I ordered homemade small fries/gravy/battered mushrooms & mozza burger for $20.36. Didn't open til I got home in Winkler. The fries were burnt so went in the garbage with the powdered gravy. I really wanted the burger to be good. The lettuce was old and wilted it didn't need to be on it. The bun was good though. Meat was okay but bland. Very few mushrooms and it needed a cream sauce to take it over the top but leave out the lettuce unless asked for. The best part was the battered mushrooms. They were crispy and great. I eat out on very rare occasions. I prefer these little family burger places that are open only in the summer because they are usually so yummy but not this place unfortunately. I didn't go for the ice cream. Chapman's ice cream is awesome, we all know that already. It's easy to put it in a cone or dish. The burgers/chicken, fries/gravy make the place a memorable food experience and keep people...

This place was a lot of fun. Old fashioned outdoor ice cream place. Similar to BDI in Winnipeg. I ordered a twister which is like a blizzard. It was delicious. I pounded that one back far too fast. My kids enjoyed a milkshake and poutine! Quality was good and it was done in a reasonable time as well. Minor issue was the parking lot which is super tight and some people flew in the lot a bit recklessly. As well as pulling right up to the picnic tables. Almost seemed like they would hit us. But this doesn't have much to do with the quality of the place itself which is a lot of fun. Hope to go back soon again on...

Bought ice cream here for 5 people. Ice cream was soupy and had a weird taste at times. Afterwards, none of us were feeling well and one person had food poisoning from it all the way.

I don't know why they can't keep their ice cream in a frozen state.

Also, for the weird taste at times i think it could come from using only one scoop on all ice cream pails or from the cup filled with water that is being used to rinse the scoop. The water in the cup, if not being changed out with fresh clean water every so often, could house bacteria.

It was the last time we had something to eat at this...
