The Dairy Bar - Drive In — Restaurant in Municipality of Souris – Glenwood

Found this little place on our drive from Ontario to Alberta. We were not disappointed. Hands down the crispiest chicken sandwich we’ve had! Such a lovely surprise! The ice cream was delicious too!

The service was wonderful, two of the sweetest kids! Well brought up, polite and friendly!

Whilst they don’t have a dining room at the moment, it’s may take away from some of the atmosphere but the setting is lovely and you can sit at the picnic benches overlooking green space.

The Dairy Bar turned out to be one of my favourite places for a burger! The Farmhand was mouthwateringly delicious with its homemade patty (blend of beef, pork, and bacon), cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and condiments all on a perfect brioche bun. I've got to try the Side Saddle Burger next time! The fries were good and seasoned well. The Deep Fried Pickles were big, crispy, and came with a tasty dip that reminded me of a mixture between Caesar and Ranch.

If you order online, you tend to get your order faster than in person. With that being said, you really need to watch when your food is ready. You can drop $70 on food to have most of your order either made wrong or incomplete. From the wrong food to the wrong drink. It seems like a lot of the employees don’t properly read the receipts or pay attention to what they’re doing. It also depends who’s working too. Sometimes there’s very unfriendly employees.
