If there was an extra star for service and for food quality, they’d get it! Never heard of this place until my wife and I visited their booth at the last RV show in Winnipeg. The bakery was promoting the town of Souris and was offering free samples of their famous apple fritters. Today, I was travelling through Souris and called the store to see if they had any apple fritters available, which they did and I explained my situation. Found myself in Souris overnight, so decided to be at Minary as soon as they opened. Definitely the right choice! As others have noted, the apple fritters are incredible. They are huge - a regular donut box barely fits 6 of them, and weighs a ton. Absolutely delicious, with lots of fresh apples and just the right level of sugar and cinnamon. Also bought a loaf of w/w bread, which was very high quality and quite reasonably priced. The best tip I can give is to make sure you are there as close to the opening...

I placed my order a few weeks in advance to ensure I got my favourites and then added on a few extras when I got there. The apple fritters are gigantic and delicious (photo for size reference), the Boston cream donuts are to die for, their garlic and cheese pull apart buns are like something out of a dream and I tried the butter tarts for the first time this last trip and I was an instant fan!
