Pizza Mia — Restaurant in Nanaimo

What a horrible experience. My husband ordered a large pizza- half Hawaiian and half pepperoni and cheese. Came to $32. Delivery driver , did not have correct change on him- my husband asked for $5 dollars back in change, driver handed him $4 and said “thats all I have”. It should not be the customers issue, and should not have to pay even more because the driver does not carry change. To make matters worse, pizza was disgusting- tasted like fish, was over cooked- almost burnt. After having only 2 slices out of it, we returned it to the restaurant-where I was greeted by a very rude gentleman who did not even give me the opportunity to tell him what was wrong with the pizza. He right away cut me off and kept stating,”there is nothing wrong with this pizza we have the best pizza”. I’m sorry but I don’t exactly have the kind of money that I can just spend $32 on a pizza, eat only 2 slices, then throw the rest away- would never do that if it was good, it has to be pretty inedible for...

Went here for the first time tonight with my daughter, who is very picky when it comes to food, even pizza! Got the cheese lovers pizza, And I was blown away that my daughter actually ate a full slice of pizza which she has never done before from any pizza place! I was shocked. And then I tried some myself and I understood why bc it is absolutely delicious. Tasted like homemade pizza, not the chain crap that’s over greased and overrated. I can’t wait to try their other types of pizza! Definitely found our new favorite pizza place! And the staff are so sweet and kind and you can tell they care. I’d rather support a local place like this than a chain pizza restaurant any day. I order from here a few times a year when on camping trips. Amazing that they deliver to your campsite! The pizza is really tasty--in terms of the food, 5 stars!

Often, the person answering the phone is pretty rude and gives a LOT of attitude. This past weekend I called for delivery and he told me it doesn't start until 4:30. Totally okay, I said I would pick up instead. He then continued to give me attitude on the phone after I said I would pick up and I apologized for not knowing the delivery windows.

Then when I actually went to pick it up, he gave me more attitude and commented "do you think people just get delivery whenever they want?" And "you have no idea, people have real jobs, you know"
