I live nearby and have enjoyed this place for several years for its portions to prices, but the last few orders have been abysmal. Sashimi cuts are HUGE and look like they've been cut with Crayola scissors. I'm not an obese American and appreciate clean cut and proportioned sashimi/nigiri. (You could be losing a lot of money this way! )I ordered 2 "dinner boxes" (B & C) tonight and much of it was inedible. Beef teriyaki was a gross, oily off-tasting slop (my husband tried to salvage it in a stir-fry with fresh rice & veg but reheating it made the house smell putrid), and the dynamite rolls tasted off as well, as if maybe the deep-fry oil used was dirty? I understand they may be experiencing staffing challenges like most restaurants these days, but for a sushi fan like me, who eats sushi regularly, to throw away a bento box is really sad. I hope the quality will improve in time, but I will not be returning to this place again. Nori Sushi has my heart and...

My grandma brought me here for the first time while I was visiting. She also had never tried it. I am so glad we came in! Firstly it is a beautiful restaurant and the decor inside was photo worthy I loved it so much. The staff were extremely friendly and even brought us little samples of things on the house which was awesome because they were all amazing and things I wouldn't have ordered on my own! The fish balls are wicked good by the way! I had a few sushi rolls which were all amazingly fresh and yummy as well as the ebi sunomono which I order at every sushi restaurant I go to and this one was really good. But the best part for me was the absolutely gorgeous salmon sashimi! I'm a sashimi addict and It was definitely up there in the most fresh and well prepared I have had. I definitely will be adding this spot to my list of places to hit up while I'm in...

Best Japanese/Oriental food relative to its price in Nanaimo. I would eat here over Nori Sushi any day. All of their appetizers are interesting and delectable. There are creative dishes here that you do not see anywhere else. Once again, in terms of price of price, taste, and quality this is the best sushi place. The spicy Seafood Ramen is my go to but the Chirashi Don is also really good with a lot of interesting characteristics. This family works really hard if you spend an evening here you will see they have enormous output and still maintain quality. They literally have non-stop take out orders the whole evening. I am pretty sure the entire south end of town gets there sushi fix here. The only thing unfortunately about this place is they are limited on their dining capacity sometimes due to not having enough servers but that might have changed since I...

We went to eat in this small place and althoug the service was not the best, I must say the food was great. We went with my daughters (kids) and we ordered Tray C. They loved the miso soup and we loved the fresh salmon and tuna. There was a spicy roll called something like Go Go Roll that was awesome. The service could improve but we understand that they were busy because there was lot of movenent from orders to go. I called and they said I do not need reservations to go but once we were there they almost did not let us eat there because there were no tables available. So, it would be better to order from them and use the pick up option or delivery.

Such a cute place and honestly probably some the best sushi I’ve had (and I love sushi- although tbh I do opt for like the same kind of roll most times haha). It was great *because* these were big bois and not just filled with a lot of rice. It was well portioned and super yummy. One thing I wouldn’t 100% recommend was the spring rolls, cause - while tasty- they were a little more empty than I’m used to. Still really great overall regardless and the host was really friendly!
