Cobb Salad $18 đŸ„—: The presentation of the cobb salad was beautiful, neat, and clean with generous amounts of each topping and the salad was a very decent portion for the price. Filling, Fresh, Crispy and they gave you a choice of dressing instead of being stuck with one. Southwest Steak Wrap with fries $18 🌯 🍟: The steak wrap exceeded my expectations. It was juicy, fresh, flavorful, and warm and every bite was perfect. You could taste the chipotle sauce but it didn’t overpower the rest of the ingredients. I was not expecting the steak to be as juicy as it was, figured it would be on the dryer side but it wasn’t! It's truly a masterpiece. The fries were crispy with a nice crunch in each bite but fluffy and soft inside. They weren’t overly salted which I love as it gives you control over your sodium level of preference. They were also the perfect portion of the wrap. Warm and fresh. The presentation could have been better of the wrap as it was just sliced in half and put flat on the plate but still doesn’t take away much. Dessert: Pecan Pie with Ice Cream $8 🍹 đŸ„§: We got their homemade pecan pie with ice cream to share and it was sweetly divine. The crust was crunchy yet soft and each fork of the pie just slid on gracefully. Generous amount of pecans on top and the filling was soft, moist, flavourful, and each bite was just as enjoyable as the first. Definitely on the sweeter side but somehow not overly sweet. I’ve never been a big fan of pecan pies because they have always been too sweet for my liking and the filling never seemed perfect but this was the first time I enjoyed it and craved more! When we asked for Ice Cream with the pie I was only expecting one scoop but they served the pie with a generous 3 scoops of vanilla. Waitress: She was quick, friendly (not overly friendly), listened to orders well, brought out the food fast (within 10-15 minutes of placing order), did a quick check in, anticipated questions and answered them before they could be asked (as if reading your mind). The service was perfect. Right on time with the offer of dessert and bringing the bill. Location/ Atmosphere: Clean, patio had nice-sized tables and seats were sturdy. Offered a view of the main road. Shade was provided with umbrellas. I really love the details to the washroom signs. For the female washroom, it was a stick figure with a triangle skirt but the arms were made with a W and for the man's same typical stick figure but with arms with an M. It Shows subtle creativity. We went back a 2nd time but for breakfast and we sat inside. The booths are comfortable with space. I liked the pancake combo but didn't enjoy the eggs much. I asked for scrambled but got a omlette and it wasn't flavorful. The pancake was perfect however and served with local maple syrup.

Today, we brought friends from down south to Syl's for lunch. We gave our friends the option of a few places, he checked the Google reviews and said, well there is a 'hostess with the mostest' at Syl's. We quickly responded, Nikki? He said yes! Upon arriving, Nikki waved hi to us, and we said we were looking for the 'hostess with the mostest'...she laughed and brought us to our table. As usual, the service was great. She interacted with us, asking where we had been, what our plans were for the day...asked how the fishing was.. always keeping an eye on her other tables. We love the interaction she has with us when we go in. She made us feel like good friends, our friends were quiet impressed by her as well. We ordered a couple club sandwiches, one on rye the other on white. Both were excellent, half of the rye sandwich + some of the fries came home for a snack later it was so large. One ordered the cheese and mushroom omelet with home fries (grilled no onions), it all disappeared! And I had, for the first time, the Philly steak. It was delicious, with a nice juicy sauce on it which made it a bit messy to eat.. but one of the other servers was quick to get me some extra napkins. She even noticed or over heard when we mentioned that the ketchup was getting low.... And brought us another bottle, with a 😊 The place is always very clean, some of the waitresses were wiping down a wall, because things were a bit slower than normal. When going to wash my hands, I noticed the beautiful planters out on the patio. The umbrellas were up, but we chose to sit inside where it was cooler on this hot day. We are locals for about 5m of the year, yet Nikki always has a big smile and HI for us, and often is our server, she treats us right and is certainly in the right career for her personality. We've had many meals here, and none have ever disappointed. Will we be back, hell yes! Prices are reasonable Quantities are huge Staff are excellent Desserts are awesome!! (We only get them in the winter)

Syl’s was the perfect choice for our dinner. We were staying at the Hampton Hotel next to it and when the weather worsened, their delivery service was perfect option! Ordering online was super easy. The software they use makes it fun and easy to place your order! The option to pay for the food was not working so I called the restaurant to ask how I could pay for my delivery. They confirmed it was not working but that we could pay the driver. The food came quickly and the driver was able to bring it right up to our room. He was friendly and chatty while we took care of paying the bill. The handheld machine asked the usual questions
I added a tip as we were truly appreciative that we did not have to go out to get our dinner. After I handed him the machine back, he then let me know that the total included a $10 delivery fee (which I had not noticed as I had not looked at the bill on my delivery bag yet). It is not abnormal by any means to have a delivery charge added but slightly sneaky to purposely mention it after the transaction has been approved. But since he was polite, seemed to be a nice guy, and had come out in this weather, we let it go without making a fuss. The food was very good confirming what we had read in the reviews! We tried their Pogo, Hot Hamburger, and Club Sandwich. The portions were large and the food tasted like it was homemade. Yumminess all the way around.

We went for breakfast to meet up with family, the second half of our group was 20 minutes behind us and we were declined service due to our whole group not being there at the same time. There were tables open and still told to wait outside in the cold until our whole group was available. I told them I’d like to sit and have a coffee while I wait and was again declined service. Terrible customer service, will take my money elsewhere. 0/5 stars.

Edit to add: after a response from the business which is full of false particulars, I feel the need to clarify that at no point was there was any unacceptable behaviours towards the staff by me or my party. Yes, I can understand that we picked a busy morning to come dine at the establishment but I can tell you with 100% certainty there were three vacant tables in the north west corner of the restaurant. I would have paid for service to sit in the warmth instead of being told to go wait outside until our party arrived in full, however, the hostess was rude and did not make us feel welcome at all. I’m not sure why politely returning the buzzer and stating “sorry but I think we’ll take our money elsewhere, thanks” is considered unacceptable behaviour but after 20+ years in Customer Service myself, thats a new one for sure. Let’s be real, you’re a diner
people should able to sit and drink coffee and have a nice meal but not today apparently. Don’t take yourself so seriously cause no...
