On The Dock is a lovely spot with beautiful scenery in North Rustico. Food was decent. We had the scallop burger, summer salad and a pasta. I was a bit disappointed with the kids menu and asked for a kids portion of pasta - which was not able to be accommodated. My husband loved the scallop burger. The salad was delicious but quite small for the price. Service was okay - it wasn’t that busy and the service was not super fast. Also, one of the drinks was forgotten (an alcoholic beverage). Our server was lovely but was ineffective at keeping up with the pace of the meal. We would suggest going here if you have some time to spare on a date - with kids (especially toddler aged) it could get a bit difficult. We did see someone order the lobster roll and it looked incredible. We overheard the server telling the patron that it is an award winning lobster roll - this would have been good to know and likely would have impacted our meal choice!

All I can say is WOW. What a fantastic menu. The fish and chips were the best I had on the island (I ate at about 4 different places). My dad ordered the lobster roll and when I gave him a piece of my fish he was gutted he didn’t order that! My sister got the gnocchi and said she was in absolute shock over how delicious it was (of course I had to help her out with that). We were a group of 7 so we had a beautiful spot overlooking the water. They don’t take reservations so when we arrived we put our name on the list and explored North Rustico until we got the text our table was ready which was beautiful and fun to explore. Overall what a fantastic spot. Would highly highly recommend eating here! The service was amazing too 😊

Wonderful restaurant in the beautiful village of North Rustico. The restaurant can be hard to find as it is tucked behind another popular restaurant closer to the road. The location is very nice though as it is literally "on the dock". The service is very good. It is a seasonal restaurant, so it can be very busy. The staff told us there would be a slight wait and they fit us in as other patrons left. The food was very good and well priced for a touristy area. You can walk right out of the restaurant onto a small boardwalk that goes out to the harbor. You are also steps away from the main boardwalk in town, some nice little shops and a fantastic beach. Well worth stopping.

This is the best choice on the North shore for elevated casual dining and drinks - and has, without question the best waterfront patio with the most stunning views - especially at sunset. You are truly seated directly ‘on the dock’. The food and service are consistently excellent - and priced very reasonably. This is a family run business with hands on owners who obviously care about delivering a quality experience. If there is a wait, it’s absolutely worth it - and they have a very efficient text-based seating system that’ll let you enjoy beautiful Rustico Habour (with nearby beach and lighthouse) while they get your table ready. Do not miss this place on your PEI vacation!

Ate at “On the Dock” last night. Overall, great solid dinner location in North Rustico. The table started off with the crab dip: absolutely recommend, it was amazing. I ordered the fish and chips to try out a classic. The fish was nice and flaky, the fries were perfectly seasoned, the coleslaw lacked a bit of flavour but the tartar sauce was on the dot. My parents both ordered seafood linguine. It was especially nice for my mom, who was able to enjoy the seafood linguine (contains pine nuts in the pesto) entirely nut-free. And to top it off, dessert was great. Hope to come again next time I’m on the island!

A good alternative to the nearby famous Blue Mussel Cafe which is always full. We went there after the Blue Mussel announced us an hour waiting time to be seated. The place is directly on the sea, its view is beautiful (much nicer than Blue Mussel), the lobster rolls are excellent (lot of lobster, little mayo), but also the fish & chips, the haddock burger and the calamari …. we tried almost everything from the sea. And the service is very friendly. We had an excellent time there and next time we will go there directly and won’t even try to go to Blue Mussel first.
