Wish I could rate the food but since the server was so unbelievably rude we left and went to Five & Dime and had a great breakfast. Empty inside and patio but she was apparently too busy to be polite and yelled at my son and I. We were very embarrassed to be yelled at like that in front of other guests. Edit: Owner reached out and offered a free meal which I declined as I don't review for free meals. I returned this past week and although the service had improved the food was not good at all. $16 for eggs Benny was a fine price but I would expect house made hash browns. Not McCain's frozen hash browns that were not seasoned at all. The eggs were poached properly but the Hollandaise was so runny it barely coated the eggs. If you're looking for a coffee or a nice view definitely give them a shot but if you want a good breakfast in Sidney go to Five & Dime.

There's no cafe like Dakota. Dakota's is a hidden gem in the north of the city. The wonton is totally rich Canadian-Cantonese mixed style and full of flavor, you can tell they care about the soup they use!!!! But what makes it unforgettable is the view: as you sip your drink, you can watch planes taking off into the golden sunset. It’s peaceful, almost cinematic. The staff are warm and welcoming, the space is cozy, and the vibes are perfect. A must-visit if you want both amazing coffee and a beautiful moment. I especially love their lattes made by the boss lady herself!!! The milk is steamed perfectly and the latte art always brings a smile. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly kind. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to slow down. I’ll definitely be coming back! I love you Ryan, Jenny and Darcy!

A perfect place for a relaxing brunch. If you’re on a road trip or just got off from the ferry, this cafe is such a convenient place to visit. The decor is not flamboyant but artsy, hand-drawn by the owner. The staff are all very friendly, hard-working and humble, almost feels like home. There’s a generous amount of food on the plate and totally worth the price! The presentation is absolutely stunning, as well as the flavour — blown my mind. The menu is cohesive and full of healthy choices, whatever you pick would always be delicious!

Have been so excited to try this restaurant since it aired on CHEK TV, I love wonton soup so finally decided to try it June 11, but thought I would give them a call ahead of time as I was coming from the western communities and wanted to take out the soup. I dialed 60 plus times on my Cel phone to no answer ( they were open but apparently to busy to answer) so of we went at 2:30. Immediately ran into a accident on the highway but managed to get to the restaurant at 3:46pm to order my take out wonton soup I was so excited I had made it. I was told they were closed, to what I answered you close and four as per the website, no we close at 4pm but our kitchen closes at 3pm. Sorry but we cannot serve you now as the kitchen is closed. I explained I had called numerous times with no answers and she went to the kitchen and came back and said sorry kitchen is closed.

ā€œNO SOUP FOR YOUā€ Is exactly what I felt like (Seinfeld episode if you have ever seen it). I will not give them another chance as as much as I so wanted to try their soup. So rude, they need to change their website if the do not serve after 3 then they close at 3. Soooo...

Went here today with my father before the lunch rush began. I work just down the street so i was looking forward to trying it and it was close.... WOW, 20 minutes and not even so much as acknowledged- no water, no menu, no hello. Got up to leave as I am on an hour lunch break and I said something to the staff on the way out and they didn't even acknowledge me at that point. Service was horrible and attitudes of the staff rancid. I will NEVER go back and I will tell everyone I know about this horrible local restaurant. I will be sure to let all my co-workers know at the helicopter company I work at that this is not the place to go for a work lunch... You may leave hungry. On a positive note - went over to Spitfire Grill just down from this one and had my lunch in 15 minutes and was back to work on time! Go Spitfire Grill! I will tell everyone to go to Spitfire Grill. Good food, friendly staff and respect peoples...
