Went there to have a quick dinner with 2 of my friends. We ordered a chicken alfredo, cheese pizza, and a vegerarian pizza. Quantity wise, pasta was enough for more than one person, and pizza was quite heavy, too. Taste wise, maybe for the Indian taste buds, it missed salt in it and pepper. With our share of salt and pepper in it, it was tasty. Suggestions : The crust of the pizza can be made less thicker. I would for sure ask the chef to do a better job with the chicken pieces in the pasta. They needed to be smaller in size and missed a lot of flavour. I would rate a 5 star for the extremely friendly staff and felt so good with the way she was treating us. The place was quickly getting filled with customers, mostly from the ferry, maybe. Though we were the only non-white in there, sweet was the gesture from other customers that made us feel that we were having a ballroom dinner with known people at all tables.

Joe’s Pizza and Italian Fare is on Commercial Street near the Newfoundland Ferry dock and Hotel North. We stopped in for dinner. We had “Flips” which are like calzone The original fillings are pepperoni, green peppers, cheese and sauce. The Caesar salad was a meal sized salad that we split. Thanks to Meaghan our server for great service and her local suggestions for tourists. Thank you

The medium pizza that suppose to be 14" was actually 12", taste acceptable but a place to avoid. In the kitchen was 3 persons, another 1 come from outside, all wear normal clothes, no hair net, no kitchen clothes. Garlic fingers have a big NO! Nothing related to an italian restaurant, only the name...lucky with the ferry passengers that "bite" that.

Horrible service. Ordered a glass of water and got a bottle of water which I was charged $1.50 for. Asked to substitute the pasta that came with my chicken parm for a Caesar salad and was told that would be fine. When the bill came I was charged full price for the dinner plus a full price charge for the Caesar salad!!!! I question this and the waitress who went to the kitchen to discuss with the cook who I am assuming is the owner or manager and who then promptly refused to adjust my bill and in the process was rolling her eyes in annoyance. I then asked for the pasta that I was charged for to be given to me in a takeout container since I had to pay for it regardless. The same cook/owner/manager felt it was appropriate to laugh at the request. In addition, the business really seems to be struggling for help as the waitress’s were very inexperienced. Food was delivered without cutlery and plates for patrons to eat from and then had to wait several minutes to receive and when asked a question like, how big is your slice of pizza?, she didn’t know…said “it is a decent size”! Absolutely horrible service and would not recommend this...

I just ate at this restaurant tonight. I have to say it was very disappointing. My husband and I arrived and a waitress came over and said she was new. We got our drinks and she took our order. We ordered a 9 inch pizza and a salad. I received my salad. We then waited for 50 minutes for the pizza. As we were waiting and trying to catch the waitress eye, I noticed all of the girls working had no hair nets and everyone of them played and re did their ponytails while at the counter and in the kitchen and never washed their hands. I also found out when we left that the waitress we had was 18 and serving beer. I am not 100% on the rules but I think this is not allowed. She did apologize to us and kudos to her as really she has no control over the cooks. I will be sure to relay this to all my friends and family, and also to the personnel at the ferry terminal so perhaps they will use the info when recommending to...
