Bronte's Sports Kitchen — Restaurant in Oakville

Was in the area and decided to have a late dinner here with a friend, after reading some reviews. I think I may have been here once many years ago when it had a different name.

Like some have written here it seems like a place where many people frequent regularly. However, unlike some reviews, we did not feel like we were treated any differently.

It was a loud, and happy Saturday night crowd as they had a live band and someone was celebrating a birthday. If was ok with us. We were seated at a comfy booth.

Our server was courteous, friendly and efficient. We ordered beers, mine was on special, and they were served ice cold. I also needed help deciding what to order. I asked how the teriyaki stir fry chicken (or beef/shrimp options) was and she said it was excellent. So I ordered it and was not disappointed. One of the best teriyaki stir fry’s I have ever had. Generous portions of moist, juicy chicken, fresh, delicious veggies on a bed of rice with an amazing teriyaki sauce. Better than some Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. My friend had the chicken souvlaki and it was a large serving, with salad and fries and was delicious also.

I would highly recommend Bronte Sports Kitchen and would definitely return...

My experience was better than the 4.2 which I saw on Google.

Service and food are both the star here. Its just an older building in an older community. Probably not associated with trendy.

Burger - I asked what was best. They suggested. It was phenomenal. Sesame bun. Patty was the star. Charbroiled on a fire pit. Best burger in Bronte? Yes. Maybe all of Oakville based on style (6oz), not smashed. Just old school. But delicious. I'm excited to order again. Added sautéed hot peppers (banana peppers was what they use). If you like a bit of spice do it and added Swiss cheese.

Got side Greek Salad. Was good. They had fries and onion rings and looked great. I skipped for calories.

Wings- didn't eat or order but the staff meal let me take a pic. Wings come breaded or not breaded. Size looked perfect. Not too big or small.

Staff mentioned other items to try as popular. I can't confirm, but curry and stir-fry are both strong. Fun place....

We usually have a great experience at Bronte Sports, but today (April 13th) was extremely disappointing. We went with family and friends, and from the beginning, things were off — drinks were served in disposable cups, our food took a long time to arrive, and some dishes never came at all.

The worst part was the service from the person who identified herself as the manager — apparently new to the restaurant. Her attitude was completely closed-off and disrespectful. When I raised concerns about the service and the mandatory 20% fee (despite the poor experience), she simply told us we could go find another place to eat.

Very unfortunate. We’ve always enjoyed this place, but today we left feeling frustrated and disrespected. I truly hope management...
