I have been ordering from Bombay bistro from uber, those dishes order from there were quite good. But today I went to the restaurant to have a Dine-in experience. Being one of the only Indian restaurant in DOWNTOWN!LONDON! I must say I was very disappointed with the portion and the taste of the food. I order veg thali with chicken curry and butter chicken ,both of them had the same taste! How is it possible? There was no spices or even salt in it. We also had pani puri which were just store bought puris fried and served for a higher price and had no taste. We also had Tikka chat which was good in taste but the curd served on top was barely spoon ful. My friend order veg thali, which had paneer butter Masala, that tasted just like the butter chicken? I am questioning myself is paneer butter Masala supposed to be tangy? No it is not! Even butter chicken needs to be spicy! All it had in it was sugar,I suppose and the chicken was so hard that if I had the opportunity to throw it against the wall it would make a hole in it. Secondly being there atmosphere was nice Service by the girl serving us was good but what they need to do is improve on food quality and quantity. As they are one of the 2 restaurants which serve Indian food on the Dundas street in downtown and just imagine if people outside of India try that food and they will have their expectations of Indian food tasting good be watered down the drain. Extremely disappointed and sad to see such places putting up high prices on their menus. Hope they improve on it or train their chefs again, at least try cooking with YouTube videos as a guide for the...

Read moreHorrible, Horrible, Horrible experience. I wish I could rate them 0 on everything. I ordered chicken biryani from them for pick up. They never followed the instructions that were specially mentioned while ordering on phone. I ordered it to be extra spicy and it was way too sweet. I called them as soon as I received my order, they apologized and said we can have one for free next time. However, the chicken pieces smelled so bad that we could not even eat it . It looked rotten. So, We decided not to get this complementary thing they offered and report them instead but one of my friends mentioned that the owner is from my home town, thought of giving them another chance thinking may be it was just a bad day and we went in person this time. The owner and one girl was at the counter. I asked her to use the washroom first, the answer I got was “ this is only for our customers” and can never forget those horrible expressions of them. The whole restaurant was empty. Literally, I could not see a single customer. So, I did not understand the reason for this. Not sure, if indirectly, she was trying to tell us to buy something? But I felt embarrassed and that was a sign of horrible customer service. So, my husband straight away took me outside and decided to never ever come back to this place. This was our first and last visit to this place. Additionally, food quality of the biryani we picked up initially was below standards. Please be careful before you eat anything...
