Went out for breakfast one sunday - arrived around 930 - it was packed - we were very happy to wait for a table - we crowded around 1 table suited for 2 - but it was four of us - which was fine - happy to be accommodated at least.
a few thoughts
there was one waitress on - she was clearly running absolutely off her feet - the gentleman at the front was barely helping her and could have been easily clearing tables and taking food or coffees out - rather than just standing there. she was very sweet - eventually around 11 - 2 more waitresses showed up - but this was clearly poor planning and we felt awful for the one lady serving and only having 1 cook.
due to the lack of staffing - wait for a drink was over 45 minutes before she came to see us to take our order - eventually i had to flag her down myself because the kids were losing their mind at that point of hunger and just ask her to take our order
The food arriving staggard was very frustrating - we had one meal arrive and then another two and then it was 20 minutes after everyone was done eating that the last plate came out - im not sure if they are literally cooking one item at a time or one plate at a time - but we ordered two sets of pancakes - surely the pancakes platters could have been cooked together and brought out together - or have some pancakes ready to go in the back to serve under a warming station etc - my poor kid was the last one to get her food and then had to rush - so that wasnt great.
I was offered a refill but my husband was not - the silverware was just thrown on the table in a rush and it was very chaotic atmosphere due to this poor lady being all alone.
She was very very well mannered and very apologetic so she alone saved the customer service experience - she brought out cookies for the kids and apologized for the long wait. they had toys for the kids to play with - which was a saving grace because we almost had to just leave to eat elsewhere
We came around 930 but didnt leave until 11:15 due to how long the food took.
The food itself was amazing, very fresh, very clean not greasy - loved the choice - this is not another north American grease spoon breakfast and that made the other things worth it.
The coffee was great -
i will say its very expensive - for a platter it was 23 dollars and you had 2 small pieces of sausage -- and a small portion of eggs. The packages and fruit was 17 dollars for four small thin pancakes and a few pieces of fruit throw around -- I would say either a larger portion or else adjust the price - or at least make the protein/fruit component a little more substantial. so its not a cheap place at all.
it was about 100 dollars for the four of us
We will be back to give it another chance and hopefully that was just opening pains and they will adjust their prices and/or portions as well as get a better serving system in place so all food is brought out together.
Overall we loved it - but hopefully that was just one off in terms of timing/service - but will be back to try...

Tucked quietly in uptown London, Coppadocia is a small, spotless gem serving up a breakfast that is a little different than the usual. On a quiet Sunday morning, I found myself seated in its modest but welcoming space, where the warmth of the food did its fair share of the talking.
The main role of the morning was the Turkish-inspired egg platter, which lands somewhere between rustic comfort and thoughtful presentation. Two sunny-side-up eggs arrived in a style that seemed poached, a technique more places should aspire to, with just enough yolk shimmer to crown the dish. Surrounding them was a vibrant spread: briny olives, crisp greens, and a generous helping of grilled halloumi that was golden-edged and properly squeaky. The cheese huddled over a subtly spiced sausage which was sliced and lightly cooked. This little piece of tasty added a sassy richness that rounded out the plate.
But where Coppadocia truly surprised was in the details. The butter? Creamy and full-flavored. The bread? Elevated by a side of clotted cream swirled with honey and topped with grated pistachios—a decadent, sticky-sweet delight that might just steal the spotlight if you let it.
Coffee, a very important component for me was satisfying, though I made the mistake of skipping the Turkish coffee. Judging by its presence and how it graced neighboring tables, this was clearly the move to make. Next time, I’ll know better.
At just around $25, this breakfast is not only thoughtfully executed but also fair in price. Coppadocia doesn’t overpromise, it simply delivers. A great little spot for anyone looking to step outside the standard brunch box and wake up with something a little more...

I wish I could tell you more about this restaurant, but our experience was very frustrating. I called on Saturday, and made a reservation for 4, for the following day, Sunday. Our party arrived, and the restaurant was almost full. I spoke to the young man who came to meet us and told him we have a reservation. He directed us to the only available 4 seat table. We looked over the menu, excited to try some of the many choices. About 10 minutes later, the same young man came to our table and asked again if we had a reservation. I told him yes, and gave him my name. He replied that I had had a reservation yesterday and didn’t show up. I quickly realized that he was the person I had spoken to when booking. I told him that I had specifically said we wanted Sunday, and were inquiring about reservations because we thought it might be busy after church. He contradicted me and told me that I had asked for Saturday, and told us we had to leave, because he had a reservation for that table. I was a bit flustered because of his attitude and asked if we could wait for a table for four. His reply was that it might be 20 minutes, or it might be an hour. At that point, we left.
This ranks as some of the worst service we’ve ever been subjected to, at home and abroad. There are so many ways that this could have been better handled. In retrospect, I should have asked for a manger, but this young man’s whole attitude was so poor that none of us would have felt comfortable dining there.
We left, and had a very good lunch a Basha. It’s only a couple of blocks away, and food and service...
