Went to Chuck's Roadhouse on Friday December 6th for a Christmas dinner with my parents. Though it was busy, they kept the flow of people going quite quickly. We only had to wait 30 min which we thought was good especially for a Friday night. Our waitress came and took our order. When my husband ordered sweet potato fries, my stepmother (who had already ordered) said "oh sweet potato fries - can I change my regular fries to sweet potato fries) and she was told no, the order already went to the kitchen. Ok, we got it - it was busy so no big deal. We ordered, 2 of the philly steak sandwiches, a club and chicken parm. No appetizers. Drinks came quickly which was great. My husbands philly steak sandwich came out about 15 min later which was great and then we waited......and waited......and waited.....and waited more. We told him to go ahead and eat since it would be cold and thankfully he did. The waitress came back over about 10-15 min later and found out that the rest of us didn't even get our meals yet. I think it was about 25 min AFTER my husband got his that the rest of us got ours. I understand it was busy but to wait that long and no one noticed is a bit unacceptable. The manager/owner came over and asked us how everything was and I explained that we had to wait at least 20-30 min AFTER my husband got his meal for the rest of ours to come out. He didn't say much. Though the meal in itself was a good price (paid $110 for 4 people) I would have thought we would have been offered maybe a free drink, a free dessert, 5% off - anything for the lengthy wait but we were not offered anything. We have gone to other restaurants in the past where they've made a similar mistake the the manager came over, acknowledged the error, offered either a dessert or a discount to make it right. I think acknowledging the error and offering even a free coffee/tea/dessert (not looking for a dessert for everyone but even one) would have made it right. It was very...
Read more6 of us for dinner. Apps were dill pickle spears, onion rings and shrimp torpedos. 3 had steak and lobster tail. 1 fish and chips, 1 spicy chicken wings and 1 chicken Parmigiana. Apps were delicious. Onion rings crunchy, big and plentiful. Highly recommended. Fish and chips brought a thumbs up from the Brit that was eating it. If having Apps, only order one piece of fish or if your appetite is smaller. Chicken Parmigiana was a good size serving and quickly gobbled up by the person consuming it..lol Chicken wings eat as an app or a meal. They are large crispy and saucy. Chose from mild, medium and hot. Hot is nice for heat lovers. No burning your lips off..lol That leaves the steak and lobster tail. All requested medium rare and all got medium rare, no inconsistency. If you order rings with it, be prepared for a mountain of food. The fully loaded baked potato was delicious l. Right amount of topping. The lobster tails was so yummy. You can't beat the price. If I had on complaint, the clarified butter that you get with the lobster was so salty. Don't know if that's the norm or if someone got a little overzealous. Get there early. They don't take reservations so get there early. Definitely worth the...
Read moreI completely disagree with that last review by Brooke. I've come in to Chuck's now about 7-8 times. Both dining and restaurant sides. I have nothing but great things to say. So far I've only been greeted by happy fun staff and managers who seem to want to provide you with an amazing experience. The food is great and hands down best prices in the city. ALL of my interactions with staff, managers, regional managers and owners has been great. They are attentive and honest. The kitchen is a little slow as they are learning. Always a line up to get in, that says a lot. Some stand outs that have gone out of their way for me are: Big John who listens, Yuvi who checks to see how the night is going, Lucas who is super attentive to whats going on and supports his staff, a great fit, and some of my favorite friendly fun servers are, so far, Tilly, Kelly, TL, Mishayla, Haylie, Melissa and DeShaun. Be patient with host/hostess and kitchen, they will get more efficient as they learn what works best. My recommendation for desert is the toffee...
