Usually I enjoy making homemade cakes for birthdays but my boyfriend really likes ice cream cakes so I decided to spoil him this year with a cake from Dairy Queen. BIG MISTAKE. I called 4 days in advance to make sure they'd have the cake ready in time for my boyfriends birthday party and was assured that the cake would be ready in time. We'll they didnt. Apparently the girl I spoke to on the phone forgot to relay the message so no one knew there was an order. Then they don't have a cake specialist during the weekends so I wouldn't be able to get my customized cake until Monday because that's when the cake specialist is in. So I went back today(Monday) to see if they had my order ready, well the cake specialist was not only beyond rude but she told me there was no way she could do my cake because the photo was from a show and it would be copyright. Why wouldn't they have told me that when I made the order or when I went in the first time to grab my order. Though I was frustrated I remained calm and nice even when the cake specialist was being down right rude. Read moreI called about getting a cake and was told they have just regular cakes ie not ice cream, went in to order and checked again asking for a non icecream cake as birthday boy could not have icecream and was told it was a regular cake. Told them what I wanted came back the next day asked again "this isn't icecream right?" Boys name spelt wrong on cake, didnt notice till I got out of town. Cake melted in car and was ruined by the time I got to bday party. To be fair they did refund the price but not after the manager said she watched the tape of me going in talking with the staff and said I asked if it was a blizzard and ordered icecream then I gave the wrong spelling. It was for my adopted nephew who I've known since birth 14 years old allergy and all and I'm the one that came up with his name and I'm always correcting people on spelling and pronunciation. My advice take your smart phone and record your interactions with this location so when they try to say it's your fault when their people mess something up you can play the video back for them as a lesson in good...
Read moreWas a 5 star review but I am now very disappointed with the service I just received. I told the girl at the window I had a coupon she said ok just give it to me at the window. I pulled up, and she asked me to pay, so I did and was like wait that price was high, did that include the coupon and she said no you didn't give it to me. I said I told you I had one, and you asked me to pay first. She said she couldn't refund me or take the coupon and I talked to the manager a guy that was tall and young and he was really rude and gave me an aggressive shrug and was like well you already paid... I said could you give the difference on a gift card and he said no. I said is there anything you can do and their brilliant solution was for me to come back and use my coupon another time.... but I will actually never be returning here I've never been treated so rudely by staff and for there to be no solution to a mistake like that is horrible customer service.
