Walked in at 8:10 pm and right off the bat an lady employee had come out from the back and stated that the dining room was closing early not to mention they weren’t doing hot grill orders right now so it was all ice cream. For what reason? I used to manage a restaurant and unless your having equipment issues if a customer walks in last minute and says they want something off the grill you cook it otherwise your employees are basically just trying to clean so they leave on time and not put forth the effort but that’s not the issue here closing the dining room makes you lose business especially since me and my friends went to Tim hortons instead as when we walked right out the door the drive thru was already packed and we like this Dairy Queen but this is not the first time something like this has happened we have come here other times to the store being completely closed in the middle of the day and also to either just the dining room or drive thru closed the earliest we have seen this store closed early is 7 pm I’m sorry but I’m saying this as someone who has managed a restaurant. Smarten up and get control of your staff you as a owner run your store not your staff you tell them what you want done not what they want to do. Read more1:35pmish Sept. 19,2025. We just went to the store and the person that greeted us at the door said it was cash only and just made it seem like it was a bother that we were there at all. She went behind the counter to take our order and said that all systems were down in southern Ontario, which was fine because we had cash. She was an older woman with glasses and short hair. She then started taking our order, but then stopped midway to start arguing with someone in the drive-through and she was visibly agitated, making it very uncomfortable. She returned to the counter to continue taking our order and I had asked if she had already got my husband‘s order in and she said yes, so then I started doing my order and then my husband went to add on a gravy and then she said in a very rude way to him, “what are you even getting it with?”
My husband had to walk out and I followed because the service was absolutely appalling and that woman needs to get her attitude in check. Maybe she needs to work in the back because they obviously can’t handle pressure and losing business. I...
Read moreI ordered two kids cones and requested it to be smaller - one dipped in chocolate and the other in sprinkles. I pay and go to the pick up side. The cashier had gone to tell the person making the ice cream “the lady has a very specific request that she wants the icecream this size” to which the other employee responds “thats weird why so specific” to which they turn around and see me. I said I’m specific because I don’t want my kids dropping icecream everywhere and having too much sugar. He was taken aback “ I don’t have a problem making it just saying” he then made the incorrect cone w the confetti dip and then gave me the correct one. But if you have something to say about someone - especially a customer please say it when they leave. If I added more you wouldn’t have a problem. You should not have a say in what my request is.
