I recently went to the new Kelsey’s in Brockvilleafter renovations. I heard on the radio to come check it out and have some free wings. I took my son we had a very awful experience the wings were over cooked and dry, the waitress was very disrespectful she new I was there for free wings and it seemed that I wasn’t good enough to serve even though I ordered the most expensive draft on tap. She only came back to my table to see if I wanted another beer I said yes please and she never came back with it! When she finally came back she asked me if I would like to order a meal or get the bill this lady was completely out of it and it was not crazy busy. I said I would take the bill. We waited 20 min and never received the bill so I tallied up our drink order and left double the amount on our table and left thinking maybe she’s new. Kim D was our waitress! A month has gone by and I decided to take my wife and son out to Kelsey’s so my wife could see the awesome renovations done at Kelsey’s. Low and behold we end up with the brain dead waitress again Kim D! I ordered the most expensive meal on the menu ribs and wing combo once again the wings were dried out and garbage, the portion size was for a ten year old at $20!! The waitress was once again lost! After we finished eating I was still hungry, we remembered that we had a free coupon for spinach dip so we showed her the coupon and asked for spinach dip. It took her 10 minutes to figure out what to do with the coupon and her manager coming over to the table. We thought we were going to get our spinach dip. We paid our bill and continued to wait! We waited 20 minutes my son went up to the bar and asked our waitress Kim D what was happening with our spinach dip. Kim D said to our son, “oh you wanted spinach dip? I was wondering why you were still sitting at the table.” We waited another 10 minutes and still no spinach dip, we had to leave the restaurant! We will never be returning to the Brockville Kelsey’s! Hopefully they can get some...
Read moreWe had not been to Kelsey in many years but we were passing through Brockville on a recent day trip and thought we would give it a go. I was happy to see my old favorite was still on the menu - Balsamic Chicken and decide that was what I wanted. I was so disappointed!! I am pretty sure the mashed potatoes were fake powered potatoes and if they were not they sure tasted like it. The balsamic crème sauce was not like it used to be, I could tell immediately as the colour was too brown like a gravy and lacked the cream that made the sauce rich and delicious- it was barely edible and had to scrap it off the chicken. The chicken was also overcooked and dry, the only thing on the plate I enjoyed was the broccoli. My husband did enjoy his Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Before leaving I went to the bathroom as we still had a 2 hour drive home. There were 3 stalls, the first one was the handicap one and had someone in it, the second one would not lock. There seems to have been an attempt to fix it by adding another lock but that one did not work either so I had no choice but to use the last stall. The light above this stall was burnt out and the bathroom was already quite dark son I could barely see. The hook on the door was gone so there was nowhere to hang my purse and the toilet itself did not seem to be attached properly and when I sat there was a huge clunk and the toilet leaned to the side. For a huge corporation this is unacceptable, bathrooms should be in perfect spotless condition. Needless to say that I could not wait to get out of there and we will probably never come back.Do...
Read moreUpdated review: We decided to try Kelsey's again and it was a good experience overall. Our server was attentive and he came to check on us often and quick to refill drinks. The vegan mushroom burger was awesome paired along the the beet and goat cheese salad. The chicken fried chicken I think was double fried and didn't seem to fresh and the loaded baked potato was missing bacon. Likely wouldn't choose this dish again but overall we enjoyed our meals.
January 2023 Average experience, nothing fantastic but not awful either. We were seated with everyone else in the bar area for dinner, I understand it is easier for the waitresses to have everyone grouped but it would have been nice to be a little more spaced apart from the bar when trying to enjoy dinner. Service was very impersonal. The waitress never introduced herself and to check in on us she just looked at us from across the bar and gave us a thumbs up instead of asking if everything was alright or if we needed anything. Drinks were good. The quality of the steak seemed very subpar. It was cooked good but it had absolutely no flavour and looked old when it was cut. I had to put a lot of salt on it to taste anything and even then it was lacking. The honey buns appetizer was undercooked and the cheese inside was still cold. The fries had obviously been under a heat lamp for quite some time. It was okay but for $100 for two I'm not so sure the service or...
