Pretty disappointed both times I’ve been to sunset grill in brockville. The first time we went to order online and it said they were closed even though they were open. We went through to place our entire huge order, and right at the end it wouldn’t go through so that was annoying. At the end, it gave us a total, around 60$ for our breakfasts, which is what we assumed the total would be. We then called to place our order and i sent my boyfriend in to get the food. When he picked it up the total was well over 80$ And they would not explain why the prices on the website were so much less then what the actual charges were.

The food was mediocre for 68$ and all we got were two breakfasts, a small kids meal, and some cheesecake French toast. The French toast was soggy and disgusting and the whip cream was melted and in a puddle.

Nonetheless we tried again today. We got two sunset super breakfasts both with sausage, again the online ordering would not go through and the prices were different when we got to to the store. When we got home with the food we were shocked to discover we paid 30$ (Plus a good tip) for such little portions AND both our meals were wrong as we both had ordered only sausage. It’s like they ran out and decided to substitute with bacon without even asking first. The entire meal was cold (we live not even a 2 minute drive from the restraunt so this isn’t acceptable) One measley small scoop of undercooked has browns, and three slimy eggs. With unappealing bacon (we don’t like bacon that’s why we wanted sausage). The only thing edible was the pancakes, and were were shocked to find out it cost an extra 3.50$ for syrup, so we just used our own from home. Even more shocking was the fact that added two pieces of toast would cost an extra THREE DOLLARS? How can anyone sleep at night charging that when some FULL LOAVES of bread don’t even cost that much. It’s shameful.

Needless to say we will not be trying sunset grill ever again. It’s completely overpriced for the portions and...

Unfortunately this is a bit of a disheartening review. We’ve had great meals at the Kingston west location in the past, and try to make it a semi-regular fun little date meal location. Today we stopped in for lunch. I ordered a BLT on dark rye and my girlfriend, the breakfast poutine. My sandwich came with dollar store bland and processed rye bread toast with no butter or condiment. No mayo etc. The side of home fries was even more disappointing. They looked amazing, well done and crispy on the outside and appeared to be seasoned. Unfortunately the seasoning was bland and tasteless, and the potatoes themselves hard and way undercooked. My girlfriend’s breakfast poutine was made with the same potatoes and was inedible. We did let the staff know, and they did offer to bring her a new side of potatoes for her poutine… is that really a solution? We were pleasantly not charged for the meal she couldn’t eat, and unfortunately were time limited and couldn’t stick around for a replacement meal. I feel I should emphasize that we are not chronic complainers and we were not aggressive when we brought our disappointment to the staff’s attention. They were gracious and apologetic and deserve credit for the positive way they handled the situation. I do not think we will NEVER return, we’ll just be a lot more selective and specific when we do go back again. The staff here were the best part...

We were in Brockville today for a funeral. Running short on time but wanted hopefully a good breakfast. When we pulled up we were disappointed too see a large line up outside the building . We parked anyways and watched the line for a few minutes and saw that it was going down pretty quick... So I went over and got in line and the hostess came too the door too see how many we were .. We told her we didn't wanna waste anyone's time unless we knew we could get in and out fairly quickly. She went away for a minute and came back to let us know only 2 orders were up on the board to be made. So we decided to go in. We were seated, and within 5 minutes we had our waitress come see us, we already knew what we wanted and ordered everything at once ... We had our coffees in no time and breakfast not far after.. The food was hot and tastefull, the service was great !! Thanl you all for a wonderful experience and we will be back when in...

Good breakfast. This is the best breakfast place in Brockville. Great food and wonderful service. The staff are very friendly and although the food is a bit expensive you get what you pay for. I usually attend on my own but it has a great family atmosphere as well. I usually order eggs Benedict and the food overall is very good too. I like the other selections on the menu too. This place is not really for cheap folk there is no value meal here. I really enjoy this restaurant I hope you enjoy it too. I give this place a 8 out of 10 as the food and service are pretty good. I have come here many times and I have never been disappointed. If you enjoyed this review please press the like button.

Been there for brunch a couple of times now and there’s no one meal that I’ve tried and wouldn’t recommend. Their French toasts as amazing, the wraps are flavourful, filling with great amounts of meat, Their burgers too are well done. With most meals there’s always a generous portion of home fries which is common in most brunch places in canada but I find that theirs always taste “fresh”. I always end up taking away some food because the portion sizes are quite generous. The drinks menu is quite typical but unfortunately they don’t have any milk alternatives. The service is also great. Super responsive, always someone to help. This has become our go-to brunch place and it’s always come through.
