Matt's Place - Legion 631 — Restaurant in Ontario

Walked in yesterday after a funeral up the road to honour my uncle/my dad's brother. Dad and I ordered a draft beer, I think just the regular size, and a double vodka soda.

As the bartender was preparing our drinks, the owner walked over and welcomed us which was very kind.

The bartender slid our two drinks forward to us, and asked for $19.82. I was shocked. Then she said cash only. I had to run out to the car to grab some cash. I only had a 20, and felt really bad I couldn't tip.

So prices are inflated and they only take cash which is not only inconvenient but...

Matt's Place aka the 631 Legion in Collins Bay, is a very underrated spot. The little pub is a very nice spot with a kitchen during the day and frequently entertainment in the evenings. The bar is comfortable, stylish and very well priced. The staff are all wonderful and friendly. I think the legion gets a reputation as being for "old people" bit this spot is definitely worth...
