I ordered a medium 2 topping and donair fries. Came to $31. When I ordered the fries, the lady behind the counter looked slightly perplexed. I expected something with onions, tomato, donair sauce+meat, but when I got back it was donair sauce+meat with cheese and gravy. Because it was maybe 20 minutes after I got the food by the time I finally got to eat, the fries were pretty much mush. Pretty disappointed about that dish. The pizza however was quite good. They are definitely using really high quality cheese that they brown on top. The bacon and mushrooms are also how I like them. I give the pizza a solid 8.5/10. If there was a deal for a medium 3 topping pizza I would be more inclined to go back more often. The lady who served me was doing a good job. I was quite impressed with her work ethic actually. Very good at multitasking. I would have rated this less if it wasn't for the pizza being as good as it was because I regret getting those fries. I think they could have been cooked longer and I think I was actually served the donair poutine instead of donair fries like I asked for. At the end of the day I am mostly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMikeās is our favourite pizza in London. We pay for delivery from the East end to Northwest London because it is soooooo worth it! Their donairs are authentically Easy Coast donairs. I come from the East coast and not only do I come from there I am lucky enough to have grown up in the same town that Mike owned a pizza place and convenience store in! His donairs are authentic because Mike and his family are authentic! Such a nice family and they always go above and beyond! Last night they delivered our pizza and garlic fingers across the city but forgot the donair sauce. My husband called, apologized but said he really needed some donair sauce because his wife wouldnāt eat the garlic fingers without it. Heās not wrong. The garlic fingers for me are just a delivery system for the sauce ššš . These guys delivered the sauce with grace and patience and zero complaints. We appreciate them so much and it is why they have and will always have our Pizza business. My husband is a delivery driver in the city and frequents their place often for slices for lunch when heās in the area. They are so so generous with cheese and itās sooo...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I was a teenager, in the 1960's, the pizza toppings were 'generous' and there was no skimping on anything. All the pizza places were 'family' owned. Then the franchises came in and measured everything (toppings) in 'micro ounces'. Sure their pizza was cheaper, but their pizzas were and remain SO disappointing.
Buy your pizza from Mike's .. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. Mike's 'doesn't skimp on anything'. His place is family owned and operated, and Mike runs it himself. They make pizzat the way they serve it to their own family. Sure, Mike's costs a little more, BUT IT'S ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. After one Mike's pizza, you'll be hooked (and GLAD to be).
If you grew up in the 60's and remember what pizza is supposed to be, ... call Mike's. You...
