On December 2, 2023, after attending my son's basketball game (school teams) in Chatham, Ontario, where unfortunately his team experienced a loss, we were in need of some cheering up. Having traveled all the way from London, Ontario, we decided to turn the afternoon into a delightful food adventure.
Being inclined towards Indian cuisine and observing Saturday as a spiritual day, we set our sights on vegetarian options. That's when we spotted Namaste Bar and Restaurant located at 170 McNaughton Ave W, Chatham, ON N7L 1R2, which also boasted positive reviews.
Opting for a variety, we tried the Veg Pakoda, Nepali Thali, Paneer Kadai, and Naans.
Food: The portion sizes were generous, and the Nepali Thali, featuring an impressive array of 12 items served hot, was a definite highlight. Since we are currently away from India, sampling Nepali cuisine added a delightful twist to our foodie journey. The Paneer Kadai was also a winner, urging us to recommend it.
Taste: While the flavors deviated from the usual North or South Indian taste, we found the distinctive taste of the dishes quite enjoyable. It provided a unique culinary experience that pleasantly surprised our taste buds.
Ambience: Namaste Bar and Restaurant offered a spacious environment with ample parking, making our dining experience comfortable and stress-free.
In summary, our visit to Namaste Bar and Restaurant turned a somewhat somber evening into a delightful one. The diverse menu, distinct flavors, and pleasant ambiance make it a recommended spot for those exploring Indian and Nepali cuisine in Chatham.

My wife and I split the Nepali Thalia (which I wanted to try since seeing another Google reviewer's photo), an order of butter chicken each, and an order of cheese Naan bread.
I will start off by saying that the cheese Naan here is absolutely amazing. I can see myself ordering a ton of it in the future. Cheesy and delicious!
The Nepali Thali was brand new to us so we went in curious but cautious. The chicken curry and goat curry were fantastic, my wife had the veggies to herself, the pickles blew my mind with the complex and intense flavors. Everything was way better than expected.
Our butter chicken we opted to take home as we got full from the other plate but not before trying some. Delicious.
The service was excellent, everything was well explained and we were taken very well taken care of through our entire visit.
I would highly recommend checking out Namaste Restaurant & Bar if you're in the area and are in the mood for a nice...
