There is no reason to NOT give a five star here. Normally I cook my own at home and do a pretty good job of it - so the expense of take out food needs to have great value for me to appreciate it. Meaning $$$ / GOODNESS.
I ordered the large, one topping walk in special .. and it came to just over $13 with a small tip. The kind gentleman on the counter was very efficient and he took my special request as if it was as important as if it were a $90 order.
Pizza doesn't have to be expensive to be good.
I went to NOFRILLS and came back after placing my order - they had gotten insanely busy while they cooked my food.
It was ready ahead of schedule. I couldn't resist, as I was on public transit, I took a peak inside the box and it was a gooey ocean of molten cheese and sauce swirling around a very decent allotment of pepperoni. Plain and simple. The sauce was delicious - never tasted better from takeout - the crust tasted like wheat and yeast (much like a beer batter)
I intended to cook it again later last evening when I got home and finished another project but the pizza didn't last that long. Could not control myself .. it was absolutely amazing, but still after a cold bus ride + walk home and half of it sat throughout the evening.
It was amazing. I chipped away at it one piece at a time until at the very end I finished off all the remaining slices.
Like I said, more like a question than a statement when I ordered "this is the real deal, isn't it?!"
Yes it's the real deal.
All the ingredients are spot on and especially the pepperoni - where I've seen other establishments, have cheapened their quality over COVID – especially the pepperoni- and I WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN ...
Pizza quest is my new go to for take out pizza. I learned to cook starting at age 13 - I am now 60 years of age.
I understand food.
THANK YOU GUYS!!! This was spot on - and the price is VERY...
Read moreOur first time ordering from them was Oct 17, 2021. We ordered a few pizzas, some cheesy bread sticks and some wings.
First off, everyone that said the customer service was amazing is 10000% correct. My daughter and I were only waiting about 30 seconds after first walking in and we were apologized to for “the wait”. If they consider 30 seconds a long wait, damn that’s impressive. So yes amazing customer service. All the staff we witnessed were wearing face masks as they are supposed to be worn, covering mouth and nose. That was great to see . We saw lots of proper cleaning going on between making orders so also great to see!!
Now the food. Wow. The crust on the pizza was cooked perfectly. Not a burnt spot or a bubble anywhere. The crust was the perfect thickness, the right amount of sag when holding a piece. It has just the right amount of crunch vs softness. Lots of cheese and other toppings too. The sauce had a nice flavour to it.
The cheesy breadsticks, same thoughts on the crust, cheese etc. it came with dipping sauce but we forgot to use it. The it was so good without it.
Finally we also ordered some wings. Initially we were surprised when we opened the box and the sauce was packed separately and the wings weren’t cooked in it or with it. But we tried wings without the sauce first. Even no sauce they tasted great. We had almost finished them before we tried the sauce. We ordered medium and the sauce was good. I used some to dip the pizza crust in after. Also yummy. Sorry. I forgot to take a picture of the wings for this review.
We will definitely be returning. They have something on Their menu called “the thing”. We might...
Read moreMy original review from 3 years ago is below (which was 5 stars). I've come here on and off for pizza since then, but one day I noticed a complete staff change and though I've ordered full sized pizza's since, which have basically been the same since my original review, I do sometimes just pop in for a slice or two, which I will not be doing anymore. There's a female who works the counter, kinda heavy set, short and dyed blonde hair, and twice now she has taken the slices directly from the warmer and put in a bag to give to me. In all my years of ordering slices anywhere else, they've always been put in the oven for a minute or two to crisp up. So what I end up getting here is a floppy warm slice placed in a bag that literally says "THE HOTTEST SLICE" on it lol. Someone needs to talk to her.
That said, I still order large pepperoni pizza's occasionally, and the quality and taste is pretty much the same as day one (and it's a good pie, imo)
My new favourite pizza! I got a large walk-in pepperoni pizza, a classic, and it was the perfect amount of greasiness and crispiness and was delicious! I also got their "The Thing", which looks like a large pizza rolled up like a giant burrito, kinda open on each end, and that was also amazing! Will 100% order again. I also noticed they have a version of The Thing but made with...wedges?! Next time, Pizza Quest, next time... I'll have to try the...
