Pomegranate Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Ontario

Everything we ordered looked unappetizing. It all also was bland... just absolutely no taste: fried rice, chicken balls, egg rolls. The beef and broccoli was covered in a weird gravy-like sauce that I've never experienced on the dish. (The photo of their B&B does not show this "sauce" btw). The portion sizes were also oddly small. EVERYTHING went in the garbage!! Out $60 plus tip!! When I called to complain I was told nothing would be done because I could not return the food (as I'd thrown it all out!!) and she hung up on me. (Yet below in a response to another bad review the owner claims she is not rude or argumentative. But she talked to me the exact same way before she hung up on me that reviewer asserts). Just WOW! For a first time customer who ordered from here because people rave about them 1) I could not believe their lack of professionalism and 2) I assume everyone who raves about this place has a lack of good taste / tastebuds. Also, the restaurant deletes / blocks anyone with a bad review....

Me and my sister decided to order from here because we use to order here a while back and loved the food. We haven’t ordered from there for a long time. We decided to order from there today and we were extremely disappointed with the poor quality of food. You can tell the food was not fresh at all. It seemed to have been sitting there for a while. Didn’t come with a lot of chicken or beef in the vegetable mix dish and seems they’re getting cheaper with there smaller containers but, yet the price keeps getting higher. On top of that I asked for a chicken chow mien and we received a bean sprout dish. When I called to let them know, they brought a chicken chow mien that we waited an extra 45 mins for and took back the bean sprouts. Not good customer service at all. The chicken chow mien we ended up throwing in the garbage because it was disgusting and not what chicken chow mien is. I paid $130 for this meal and even left a 10% tip. And this is what we received. So disappointing. We will never order...

During this sad time in our life.....and being snowbirds....that have come home early......We just have to tell you Emma that the last time we had Chinese food was in October before we left for Florida. We only eat your Chinese food and have NEVER ordered from anywhere else and while we are away for 6 months, we just crave your food. Tonight, we ordered our favourites and you never disappoint. Every mouthful had a yum factor behind it. Thank you for being an essential worker and opening up your kitchen to prepare your absolute best. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner even though it wasn’t like coming in the restaurant and having your Megan waiting on us The food was fresh and delicious and we thank you and your staff.
