I chose this restaurant for my birthday celebration based on its fun, lively Instagram, promising great food and drinks. We had reservations for 10 PM, but when we arrived, only two tables were occupied. We stood near the door for a while, and had to approach the bar ourselves to confirm our reservation. We were seated at a table that wasn’t marked as reserved or set up, but we went with it. The music was loud, making it a bit hard to communicate, but we settled in.
Service was a bit slow throughout the night. We had to ask multiple times for drink orders to be taken, and our frozen drinks arrived without straws, so we had to grab them ourselves. The bottle of liquor we ordered only came with one can of Red Bull, and we had to request more mixers. While the bartender was new, it was a bit frustrating as we were trying to make sure everyone had what they needed. They did mention it was her first day, so I’d give some leniency there, but I do hope the service improves.
That said, the atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for! It became more lively as the night went on, with Latin music playing and a dancing crowd. No cover charge, which was a nice bonus.
As for the food, it was delicious! We ordered a bunch of apps, and everything was beautifully presented. The won ton nachos weren’t won ton but regular chips with processed cheese—still tasty though. The Caesar salad was amazing, with big croutons and real shaved parmesan. The steak had an odd seasoning that left a few of us unsure, but it was presented beautifully. Their hot wings lived up to the name—they were definitely hot! The calamari was the frozen variety but had great flavor, and the shrimp pasta had plenty of shrimp that were grilled perfectly. The truffle fries were also fantastic! Their drinks were pretty and nicely presented. The bar tender needs to research a Moscow mule, I ordered it and got a mojito, then they said they'll fix it and resent me another mojito. ha ha as I was leaving, they finally sent some sort of mixed drink in a copper mug, they were getting closer!
Overall, I had a great time, but the service definitely needs improvement for it to be a truly amazing place. I’d consider coming back for the atmosphere and food, but I hope they can improve the...
Read moreWe gave this place a chance for the third time, thinking third times the charm. But boy we were wrong. We visited first time around 6 months ago at that time we had shisha some drinks and food, for a first visit the overall experience was okay. We visited second time around 4 months ago this time we ordered same food, some drinks and shisha, that experience was bad than the previous one. We visited again around 1 month ago, they watered down our whiskey and charged us the full price, the server was trying to flirt with our guys in hopes of getting a good tip, service took forever, food was sub par and we had to request multiple times to for someone to clear out the shisha. And then we visited yesterday, that was the last straw, this time the only good thing was the server who was attending us and the French fries, the food quality went down hill, no one came to check our shisha, shisha flavour was barely there, we ordered glenfiddich whiskey but we were served some cheap whiskey, the drinks were served in plastic cups, they had a policy of only serving bottled water after 10 pm - which legally they are mandated to serve water if you are serving alcohol, and they had a 5$ entry fees for Halloween event and they also charged hst on that. And you would think they must be super busy and that’s why we had a bad experience, there were barely 10 to 15 people on the dance floor, so that reason is also not justifiable. Which made me write such a bad review of a place. And our table total...
Read moreWould never recommend anyone to come here. Came out for my birthday dinner tonight, had the worse experience I’ve had in a restaurant. I also work in the restaurant industry for 15 years now.
Restaurant was freezing. Had AC on when it’s still winter outside. We got the papdi chaat for an app, if you enjoy your plate being dosed in sauce, where you’re swimming in it, then you might like it. Then we decided to order our mains. I got the chicken tikka masala, with a side of naan bread. My girlfriend had the rose penne. Took about 25-30mins for food to come out, restaurant was dead. Maybe 3 tables in the restaurant including us. After waiting 25-30mins, only my girlfriend’s food came out. Server apologized because she dropped the food off at the wrong table. I had to wait another 30mins for my food to come out. Obviously my girlfriend was already done eating, so I just asked for it to be packed up.
When I asked for the bill, we had to ask twice because the bill never came the first time. This is the best part, server decided to drop the check off, with gratuity, never mention anything about the gratuity, and gave me the debit machine to pay to tip on top of the gratuity. When I comment on it, they said they don’t know how it got onto the bill.
If you want to get robbed, freeze, and eat a naan bread as your birthday dinner and wait an hour for your main, then this is your place! Really hope you reach out...
