Taco Loco — Restaurant in Ontario

Went to Taco Loco with a friend two night ago. The tacos were outstanding! The chef does something that takes the tortillas to the next level (he wouldn’t tell us his secret). The beef was exceptionally tender. Toppings were spot on. Our tacos came with two types of salsa and a small cup of broth. The salsas were very distinctive tasting (they tasted nothing like each other, and nothing like any salsa I’ve had before) and absolutely delicious. The broth for dipping the tacos in was similarly delicious (we both ended up drinking the broth on its own after the tacos were gone). We had the Birria, Barbacoa, and Quesabirria Tacos. All were delicious: hard to choose badly at Taco Loco!

The space was small, intimate, and minimalist feeling. Decoration was tasteful, especially the wall of Jarritos. Service was very good.

Ever since I went to Mexico and had true “Mexican Street Tacos” in little neighbourhood stalls, I’ve searched for a similar experience here in Canada. I was really glad to find Taco Loco. Their offerings are right up there with what I ate in Mexico. Highly recommended !

Just to update: my son and I have had tacos from other London, Ontario taco restaurants. We keep coming back to El Taco Loco for the Birria Tacos. They truly...

I rarely leave reviews, but for this place I had to because I want them to stick around for a very long time! This is the very best Mexican food that I have had since moving to Canada from Los Angeles 15 years ago, and possibly even the best I've EVER had...and I've eaten A LOT of Mexican food! All the tacos are amazing, but the carne asada and birria tacos will knock your socks off with flavour. Read: they. are. mouthwateringly. delicious! The generous portions of delectable sauces, lime, diced onion and cilantro, and jalapeno pickled veggies they provide with every order only adds to the exceptional quality and flavour of the meal...and the homemade chips are delicious! I will be a frequent and enthusiastic customer - so happy that they are here in London where authentic and delicious Mexican food is...
