Twice the deal pizza (Springbank Dr) — Restaurant in Ontario

We called around 5pm and placed an order for 7pm . At 7 they called and said that there driver was running late and it would be 7.15 . I was little disappointed as puck drops at 7 but at least they called but no discount was offered. At 730 I called them an asked what was going on . I was told that the driver was with in 5 minutes not to worry . again no discount or coupon was offered for my inconvenience. Then at 745 pm there was still no sign of the driver . I called again and ask what the issue was and they told me they had no idea and when I said I don't want cold food the person on the phone luaghed and said he guarantees it won't be cold as if it was silly to think it would be . Finally at 5 minutes to 8pm the driver arrived . I usually tip very well but as they were almost an hour late from the original order time I decided to tip small as the bill was 37$ and I had 40 cash so I decided he could have the change . He was getting more but I was not pleased with his service he was almost an hour late . He then noticed the small tip and said did you read the bill and I said yes and he goes it was 37 and you gave me 40 and I said its almost 8 pm . He gave me a dirty look and when I went to help him unload the pizza bag he was very rude and unbecoming. I then finally went to eat my food and the wings were ice cold and undercooked (slimy) and the garlic bread was a joke and looked like something you make in a microwave and the pizza was cold as well. I went to call back to let them know that they sent cold undercooked food but surprisingly they didn't answer. So I decided to warn others on here to save there hard earned money and go somewhere else . Never been so...

I ordered a pizza a couple of nights ago. I was a walk in, so I saw everything that was being done while they were preparing the pizza.

There was a young man that was going between rolling the dough out and handling cash with the customers coming in. I watched him handle the cash register, the debit machine, pop, etc. and then went over and put his hands on the dough. Stretching it out and preparing the next pizza…….I was horrified.

I politely called him over immediately and explained to him that he must wash his hands when handling food when he has touched anything else, he apologized.

The other gentleman that was working with him seem to be in charge. He also came over and apologized. I explained to the gentleman in charge that he must teach this young man better.

That this was not acceptable and that really made me not enjoy my pizza although it was tasty, the dirty hands and God knows when the last time he washed his hands was ……really turned me off, and the sink was right beside him by the way.

I was going to request a refund and not take the pizza, but I figured it would probably be impossible to get a refund and a big hassle and my husband and I were starving.

Working in food services industry I know how important food prep cleanliness is and proper health protocols for kitchens is extremely important. In my opinion, they should’ve been wearing gloves. The young man was wearing a shirt and it was black with something I don’t know what, as well as covered in all kinds of food products and stains that also really turned me off.
