This review is strictly based on our first visit after Scott’s reopening….My friend and I were going to have lunch there yesterday after shopping at Mary Maxim’s tent sale….We were both excited to see the new changes, but we felt it wasn’t as “welcoming” as it use to be when Kim still owned it…it just didn’t feel like a family restaurant as it did before…to us it is just “a restaurant” now….we both felt that it just didn’t have the same welcoming family atmosphere as before…there is no wall decor either like before and the walls are white and bare….and most importantly….as for the service…during the 20 minutes we sat there…we were asked 3 times if we wanted coffee or tea…twice by the same person with our same answer of no thank you…The third time it was the “new” girl… We said we didn’t want coffee or tea and we’re ready to order and she said she would tell the other girl…we have no idea whether or not she did because the other girl just kept punching orders into the computer instead of coming over and getting our order… the restaurant wasn’t even busy….We got tired of waiting, so we got up and left… What used to be our favourite restaurant turned out to be very disappointing…we won’t be back…we miss...
Read moreFirst time visit from Niagara Falls meeting a friend who lives close by. I always prefer to go to a restaurant like this that is not a franchise and I’m so glad we did. It’s a small quiet place. Plenty of parking and just smells so good from the outside going in. We ordered a traditional breakfast and added onions to the hashbrowns. We requested the onions be crispy and that was the only downfall is that they were not. They were far from crispy, but everything was so good otherwise We ate them anyways because we were so hungry. The bacon is some of the best bacon ever!!! It’s thick and it was cooked to perfection as were the Eggs. They have rye toast without caraway seeds so I was pretty happy about that. Excellent coffee also. Nikki was our server and she was really pleasant with a beautiful smile and great service!! Next time in town if I’m staying overnight again, I will be coming here for breakfast. Keep up the great work everybody! I hear you’re going to open a location in Mississauga! May I suggest Niagara Falls as we need more...
Read moreUpdate: The service is still great , but in recent times, i have had to return my breakfast on several occasions. We have tried to support local establishments, but the place has steadily worsened , the food is quite poor on a few fronts. The avcados are not fresh but rubbery or frozen, not edible. The hash is horrible now. Once one of my favorites is overcooked and to the point, it hurt to try and eat through the burnt parts and doesn't taste the same. Sent the food back twice and still returned without much improvement. Tomotoes were cut so thick, and plate presentation was poor. Quite frankly, the quality of food, taste, and presentation are not up to par. The place needs some TLC. I do not recommend it anymore.
