I have been to this location a few times, and usually the service is not fantastic, but fine. However, today, when I arrived at the coffee shop about two hours to closing time, there was a handwritten sign on the door that the dining room was closed, but the drive thru remained open. I don't drive, but I was really looking forward to my drink, so I thought I would try to see if it was still possible to get it. I called the store and no one answered. No one was entering the drive thru, so I went up to the speaker and said hello and received no answer there. I called back again a second time and finally got someone to speak to me. I mentioned that I saw their sign and wondered if walking through the drive thru would be possible as I was on foot and had no access to a car. The woman on the phone told me no, as it is a safety concern. That is very understandable, but I was still curious as to why the dining room was closed. I thought perhaps they had recently changed their dining room hours, or had some sort of mess or hazard inside that needed cleaning up. I asked the worker if the dining room closed at that time every night and she told me they had just closed it early tonight because they "had a call-in order and were really busy." I was a bit taken aback by that response. I have worked in the food service industry myself for many years, and have worked my fair share of extremely busy shifts, sometimes all by myself. Yes, it can be difficult and even frustrating when times get busy, but in my experience, that is just a part of the service industry and sometimes you have to stay later than you expected on busy days to get everything done. I didn't realize that all this time it was an option to just close your dining room because you're too busy!! The worker on the phone did not offer any sort of alternate way that I would be allowed to order, or even any sort of apology for the lack of service. I should also note that they were not busy at all by the time I arrived. Two customers who already had their drinks were sitting outside, and one car went through the drive thru the whole time I was there. That's it. If they were oh so busy as they claimed, I would have had no issue at all with waiting awhile to get my drink, but as mentioned, I was not permitted to order it. Upon reading other reviews, after today and my other experiences here I would definitely agree that this location prioritizes their drive thru customers far above their dining room customers, so be aware of that. I don't think I'll be returning to...
Read moreThis is my regular starbucks and up until today I've only ever had positive experiences. The staff are always friendly and make my drink exactly as I like it. They are fast and reliable and I love coming here! However, today was my dog's birthday and she absolutely loves the vanilla cold foam. It may sound silly but for her birthday I thought it would be a fun treat to get her a small cup of cold foam. When I went into the store, around 2pm today, I saw a worker I've never seen before, she was wearing a black apron so Im assuming some sort of management. I asked her if it was possible to get a cup of cold foam and she said no. I understood and asked if I could pay for a drink with cold foam on it and then just not get the drink, I really didn't mind paying extra. She still said no and was very rude about it. The staff has always been so friendly and always goes above and beyond for me, so this interaction really confused me. I mean I was willing to pay $5 for a tiny bit of cold foam, I don't think thats too much to ask for? I also work in fast food and I would've done that in a heartbeat. This staff member really destroys the positive energy that this location has created and I believe she should be spoken to. I was extremely friendly the entire time, I even accommodated and just asked for a pup cup and she still said no. I go here almost every day and this has been my only bad experience, all the other staff are...
Read moreThis is our go to spot with my mom to have our coffee date. She has a special order due to dietary restrictions and personal preference. I asked for a half a shot of decaf for a medium coffee (which usually has two shots). Jaden or Jada (not sure her exact spelling as she had a black apron and seemed like it was the manager but no tag) was SO EXTREMELY rude about our Oder because this wasn’t a “standard” request and there was “no way to input the request”. My mom has had the same Starbucks order for years now and usually no problem in ordering it, other than specifying that she would only like the half shot and that if we need to be charged as normal, there is no problem with that. She made us feel like we were asking something completely crazy and mentioned that “other places were doing it for us” as if we were again asking for a crazy request. Not only did it make me feel uncomfortable in asking but it made my mom feel like if she was causing trouble for her dietary needs of low caffeine intake past a certain hour of the day. Her attitude was not appreciated and we will NEVER want to deal with her again. Not only is the coffee as everyone knows expensive, since you pay for “the experience” but apparently asking someone to simply do a custom order is not a possibility without it being a big deal. So...
