I really wanted to give Twins Cafe a perfect 5 stars. Honestly, I did. The matcha? Phenomenal. Creamy, smooth, perfectly whisked. The vibe? A+ sunlight streaming through the windows, cozy corners, lo-fi beats, and just the right amount of hipster plants.

But then... the barista approached.

Now don’t get me wrong, I appreciate hard work. I don’t know if this man had just finished a triathlon or wrestled a bear out back before making my drink, but as he handed me my beautiful matcha, an invisible cloud of despair wafted over. I was instantly transported into what I can only describe as a gym sock apocalypse. My nostrils shriveled. I took one sip, one sniff and within 5 minutes, I was plotting my escape before paramedics had to be called.

So, Twins Cafe: Your drinks? Chef’s kiss. Your aesthetic? Pinterest board worthy. But for the love of caffeine and customer retention, please introduce your barista to a stick of deodorant. Preferably industrial grade.

I'll be back (maybe with a clothespin on my nose), but until...

I’ve visited this café a couple of times since it’s conveniently close to Western and King’s. Unfortunately, both visits left me somewhat disappointed. The first time, my coffee was overly bitter and took longer than expected to arrive, even though the café wasn’t busy. On the bright side, my friend’s matcha was excellent.

Wanting to give the place another chance, I went back in July with a friend. Sadly, the experience wasn’t much better. Despite the café being nearly empty, it took close to 25 minutes for my Cappuccino—something very simple—to be ready. We were told our drinks would be brought to us when we ordered, but instead, my cappuccino sat on the counter for about 10 minutes before finally being delivered. By the time I received it, it was lukewarm at best.

That said, the café itself has a lovely atmosphere and is a pleasant place to sit, relax and study. However, based on my experiences, the quality of the drinks and the long wait times don’t quite match...

Visited Twins Café for the first time with my girls and had such a great experience. The vibe is super chill and aesthetically pleasing like definitely one of those spots that feels cozy and welcoming from the moment you walk in.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, happily fulfilling all of our (admittedly picky) requests such as light ice, stronger chai, etc. Big shoutout to them for their patience and attentiveness!

We spent a few hours there playing cards and having good conversations in a laid-back, no-pressure environment. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger.

Drinks and treats were decent honestly I’d say a solid 7/10 in terms of taste. Nothing overly fancy, but still enjoyable and hit the spot for our caffeine cravings.

Overall, a lovely experience and I’ll definitely be back again sometime...

Easily the best matcha in London - their matcha is from Hokusan which explains the vibrant green colour 😍. I have tried all their fruit-based matcha and I definitely recommend the mango one. The strawberry matcha is objectively the best one but I enjoy the uniqueness of the other flavours a lot more, if you ever want to try something new. Just beware the raspberry one had a little bit of seeds in it, but it was really delicious and I don’t even like raspberry. Coffee here is also good! My favourite aspect about twins is the service. The baristas are super friendly and I love how they always write a little note on the cups - never fails to make me smile:)! Lastly, the decor and atmosphere is very trendy and spacious. It does feel reminiscent of a Toronto café - which I think is what they were trying to go for. Hurry and go try the matcha here !!!!

Cute café with a nice aesthetic, but unfortunately the quality didn’t meet expectations. I ordered the açaí bowl, and while it looked decent, the taste and freshness just weren’t there. The ingredients seemed like they came straight from the freezer — not the vibrant, fresh quality you’d hope for. What was more disappointing was the presentation. I was drawn in by their social media posts showing bowls served in beautiful glass cups, but in reality, mine came in a basic plastic cup — not only underwhelming but also not eco-friendly. Overall, the experience didn’t reflect what was advertised. I hope they consider being more transparent with their marketing and improve the freshness of their offerings.

First visit to this beautiful cafe - bright, really Interior decor and very spacious. Variety of tables including private spacious booths at the back. Had the açai smoothie bowl with custom toppings (delicious, would order again), and iced drinks (caramel macchiato and matcha latte) - both drinks were good. Oat milk and almond milk available. Gluten free granola topping option would be nice addition. One drink accidentally made with wrong type of milk - once notified staff genuinely apologized and quickly made another. The people working here seem to be very kind and friendly. Will recommended to others.
