Ordered take-out for 5 on New Year’s Eve. Very long wait for pick up (we called way too late, I agree) and they did squeeze us in to pick up. Haven’t ordered from here in a while. I would say the food was just ok. I wish though, we had of picked out our dishes rather than order dinner for five. Our old menu was (a year or 1-1/2 years ago ?) and the dinner was $10 More. Yikes! We thought we’d splurge a bit because of that night for 3 of us. Gotta say we were disappointed in quantity. When you pay over $84. w/tax & have to pick it up you would expect more. The rice was just one container - kind of enough for 3, maybe 4 only! Two dishes were almost the same - celery, green pepper, onion mainly as the vegetable part. Sauce tasted a lot the same on both & one had almonds on it. The chicken balls weren’t bad if you’re into them. Beef chow mein was pretty good with a fair amount of beef in it. Just over all way overpriced. Like $18 more than the dinner for four! That’ll likely be our last order from there. Too bad as it’s...
Read moreWe are new to this place, as we were frantically searching for somewhere new because our old go-to place shut down. After a lot of disappointments, we found Wong’s Gardens and we are so pleased with their food. We’ve had two orders so far and there will definitely be a third!
The eggrolls and wonton soup are delcious…and so is the Lo Mein with beef. The beef mushroom chop suey and the diced chicken with vegetables and almonds are also wonderful. It’s not listed on the menu but the lemon chicken is also good.
It’s difficult to find a good Chinese place in London now, but Wong’s Garden is the exception. Finally a place who knows how to make decent food! Thank you so much Wong’s Garden and we are very much looking forward to our next order with you....
Read moreDelicious and fresh. The sweet and sour chicken balls were full of flavour and had actual chicken inside. The food was most importantly warm. The only complaint I would have is the website needs photos of the food/menu and portions could be a bit bigger. (Not as expensive as Mandarin, mind you). Overall, great service. I did like the precautions the restaurant takes to avoid covid exposure by isolating the front entrance with a table which stops you from entering. On the table is just the debit machine for you to pay, which is away from the cashier/register who is sitting a few away behind a plexi glass. Masks are also required which I respect. Location includes lots of...
