Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Orangeville

Always loved pizza hut. The crispy crust is always a winner in our house. But I was very disappointed today. Ordered a large pizza. Delivery said 12:50-1:00pm. I keep eyeing the tracker occasionally so I can be downstairs and waiting for when they get there. At 1:00pm no pizza still. I'm like ok I'll give em 5 minutes. 5 minutes later still no pizza and the tracker shows they haven't left the store yet. So I call to ask what's going on. The person that answered the phone was apologetic and said he'll be there soon they're just really busy (At lunchtime on a Sunday afternoon? ok fine). I had to ask a few times how much longer it will be but eventually I did get an answer 'He'll be another 20 minutes'. I then asked to speak with a manager since that's not acceptable. She says she's the closest thing to a manager. I go ok then I want to cancel my order I'm not waiting. Again I had to tell her multiple times I want to cancel my order. Each time with her saying he'll be there soon we're busy (again tracker says they're still at the store, my pizza when it arrives isn't going to be fresh when it arrives). I don't care I want to cancel my order. She did eventually cancel it and I'll be watching my credit card like a hawk the next week to make sure...

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was beyond frustrating. I ordered two of the personal pan pizza specials but was told I couldn’t place both orders at once. I was forced to hang up and have my husband call right after me to place the exact same order. What is the logic there? It made no sense and felt deliberately difficult.

When I arrived to pick up the food, I paid and politely asked for a bag — only to be handed one without any help. The staff member didn’t pack anything for me. I had to fit four hot pizza boxes into the bag myself. One of the boxes wasn’t even closed properly, and every single slice of pizza fell out all over the counter. She stood there and did absolutely nothing while I scrambled to pick everything up and put it back in the box. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

For a town like Orangeville, known for its friendly and welcoming service, this was incredibly disappointing. This is the only restaurant in town where I’ve ever experienced such rude, careless treatment.

Honestly, not impressed, ordered the cheese pull apart, took two bits and realized they were raw, went back to the store, where they gladly remade them though no apology for the mess up, got into my car, checked the remade ones, and raw again. Came back in requested a pizza instead which they gladly made, but honestly a simple apology for their mess up would have been appreciated.
