The Craft Pizza bar/Italian restaurant in Orangeville ON means as the name of the restaurant implies..."craft:...it's after all "a craft" to produce a really great pizza like they do.... not just a good pizza.
This establishment does not disappoint. . Gregory here
I met Paul ..nice fella (the owner) while his new construction was going on in the spring of 2022....he took over the old cheese store on the that had been on the north Broadway near the TD bank and just down from our original turn of the century town hall.. Broadway is our high street and full of well kept heritage buildings.
The interior of the restaurant is modern and understated.....it's got a touch of class...just 40 seats...Paul had a very large pizza restaurant in Mississauga I believe he said for many years..Moving to Orangeville by choice..he wanted to design and create a smaller more intimate venue..much more manageable for him and his staff...after decades in the business..
He spared no expense even though he had to wait patiently for his kitchen new equipment to come...direct from Italy...It was just after our popular Blues and Jazz Fest last year but when it finally arrived he wasted no time in getting the kitchen up and running.
Quality is everything and The Craft does not disappoint. I don't even like pizza but I did remember the thin crust pizza's I had as a child in Detroit and Windsor...so I asked Paul if he could make me a custom thin crust. He did and I have been going back again and again to get his Pollo Pazzo ever since Australian grain fed mozarella cheese chicken..fresh onion and peppers..garlic sauce... It's a thin crust (crushed down as Paul likes to say) New York style pizza so I was informed. Wow the taste says it all!
The Craft often personalizes your box...with a smiley face ..You know the pizza has been prepared with just you in mind.
The pizza's and his Italian dishes (I have a few times) are really amazing..There is no arguing...the fact
Quality lives at The Craft..
Check it out. .Enjoy!
Also Paul tells me to look for his new patio (will be constructed in June) where he and his staff will be serving the best pizza in town at Orangevilles Blues and Jazz fest..in...
Read more08/12/2025: I've dined in for dinner quite a few times now with friends and family. The Craft is perfect for having a casual/business casual gathering and due to limited indoor seating/space, booking a reservation is highly recommend. It can also get quite loud dining indoors.
So far, I've tried their Fritto Misto, Bucatini Sporca, Torte Di Granchio, Parma Bruschetta, and 'The Craft' and 'Carne' pizzas via dine-in/take-out which are all my absolute favourites! The bucatini always has a nice chew and is perfectly cooked al-dente. The pasta sauce is also quite aromatic and hearty.
I've also tried their Tagliatelle Tartufo E Gorgonzola. The gorgonzola sauce is a bit overpowering for me taste wise and the pasta noodles were overcooked and too soft for my liking. The reason why I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because since my last visit, inflation seems to be affecting their appetizer menu.
On July 9th, I ordered the Torte di Granchio and was given 3 crab cakes which I've been given many times before in the past. And for $16, it seemed reasonable. During my latest dine in experience on Aug 8th, a male server advised me that they had just made recent changes to their appetizer menu. I found it a bit of a rip off that they now serve 2 crab cakes while still charging me for $16. There was also no updates on their dine-in menu specifying that they only serve 2 crab cakes. I only found out after addressing it to the server once I had received my order. Can't speak for the rest of the appetizer menu but I would recommend asking how many items are included for clarification so you don't end up disappointed. Other than that, The Craft is a great place to eat for locals and out...
Read moreI just wanted to take a moment to brag a little about The Craft Pizza Bar and Italian Kitchen, because let’s be honest, when you find a spot this good, it deserves some serious love.
First of all, the food? Next level. I don’t know what kind of magic they’re working back there, but every bite is a reminder that carbs are worth it. The pizza crust hits that perfect balance between crispy and chewy, the pastas taste like they were hand-delivered from Nonna herself, and don’t even get me started on the sauces. If I could bottle them and put them on everything, I would (and I might have asked… twice).
Now, let’s talk about the team. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear these folks care. The service is warm, attentive, and just the right amount of cheeky kind of like the owner (yes, you, don’t pretend you’re not reading this). It’s obvious there’s pride in every detail, from the fresh ingredients to the perfectly poured wine. While I’m at it—I’ll say this: It’s easy for people to jump online and leave a bad review when something goes wrong, but I think we need to shout louder when places get it right. This crew is working hard, delivering consistently awesome food and service, and making people feel welcome every time. That deserves to be noticed.
The Craft is one of those rare spots that nails it on all fronts. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a night out, you leave full, happy, and already planning your return. Highly recommended, just don’t...
