Coriander Kitchen — Restaurant in Orangeville

Coriander Kitchen is a smaller restaurant, but the furniture, tapestries, an overall decore makes the restaurant feel warm, cozy, and inviting. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive.

The food is excellent, and the prices are moderate. We shared the dinner for two, this included samosas, rice, homemade naan bread, a curried meat dish, a vegetable and potato dish, plus a chicken dish, all for $27.00. throw in a couple of mango lassies, taxes and tips and it was under $50; there was enough food for us to take home and have it for lunch the next day, I found this to be very reasonable.

I've lived in the Orangeville area for over 20 years, in my time here, this is the third attempt at an Indian restaurant for Orangeville, I really hope Coriander Kitchen succeeds, considering the number of people in the restaurant, the number of people coming in for pickup, and my family will definitely be coming back here, I think they...

Seriously impressive Indian cuisine. Took my parents here, and us, being an Indian family, were not sure what to expect. Everything is made from scratch in-house. The herbs and spices are fresh and aromatic, the dishes are prepared and presented in a simple, yet beautiful manner, and the portions are generous. They were able to easily accommodate our allergies, and the dishes came out quickly, cooked to perfection, and to our desired spice level. The "extra hot" Vindaloo is actually properly extra hot, whereas my parents prefer milder dishes, and they were delighted with how their dishes tasted. The palau rice, served with the entrees is DELICIOUS even on its own. Since we were the only ones dining in, we thought we had discovered some great secret - however in the quick 45 minutes we were dining there must have been a dozen take-out / delivery orders - on a Wednesday evening. We’re staying in the area for the summer, my brother came to visit from Victoria, BC and loves Indian food. It was close to his birthday so I looked and found Coriander Kitchen in Orangeville with great reviews. We ordered a selection of different items. Ordered: Tandoori chicken, butter chicken, curry chicken & potato, lamb biriyani, vegetable pakora, garlic naan & peshwari naan & raita. It was all amazing & very tasty. We all loved it!
