Wimpy's Diner — Restaurant in Orangeville

I used to come here every weekend with my family. However, the recent new owners have done a horrible job with the place. It took us 20 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. The three tables beside us continued to get served sparkling water instead of regular water. When we finally got our order taken, it took another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The food was not what the Wimpy's chain represents. The sausages were burnt and tasted unpleasant. Wimpy's is known for its generous portion sizes, yet when our food came out, we had only a handful of home fries with our breakfast. The waitress could hardly understand what we were saying, and you could tell that the tables around us were also growing frustrated. I guess we will have to find somewhere else to go for weekend breakfast now. It’s unfortunate that these once good chains are getting bought out and turned into poorly serviced restaurants. My friend and I headed to this location by Google search for a fish n chip place and saw Wimpy"s and decided to eat here instead as I usually LOOOOVE their burgers. Our server was good, not great. A little slow and didn't come back to ask how our meals were and we waited awhile for the bill.. considering there was only 1 other table in at the time, I don't think that was acceptable. I ordered the junior burger with bacon and cheese and it was incredibly dry and hard. I asked for extra crispy onion rings and they were soggy and greasy. The fries were ok and my orange pop float was good. My friend had the eggs Benedict and said it was good. I wish we'd have tried the Fish n Chip place in the same plaza instead. Sadly...

I went in with my friends and its obvious they’re understaffed. My order was taken wrong and then instead of just taking it back the waitress argued with me on how I actually didn't order a poutine and asked for an omelette. The poutine I got wasn’t the one I read in the menu so I asked her what it was and she then argued with me again and finally said “have you ever had poutine before?” After more snide remarks she finally just gives up and agrees to take it back and void the order.
