Really disappointing experience. Bulldog was generally my go to for wings, but the quality has gone down.
I ordered the kids menu cheese pizza, 1 lb of wings and fries, and my friend ordered 1 lb of wings and fries. When I asked to make my fries a poutine, the waitress immediately got aggressive, saying I absolutely cannot do that and I’d have to order them separately ($12 for a poutine; no thanks) I’m not sure why she was so angry about it. Maybe she gets asked all the time and is sick of it? Not sure, but it scared my friend off asking for onion rings. She was a very attentive server for the rest of the night.
The food came out, and we were pretty shocked at the portion size, given the price. 5 tiny wings, a little over a handful of fries, and a small cup of gravy. The wings were ok, not much meat for either of us. The fries were good, gravy was ok but a bit watery. We both left hungry. I would’ve ordered an appetizer, but I was sort of uncomfortable asking for another minute to look at the menu.
The kids cheese pizza….. I wouldn't feed to my dog, let alone my child. Everything tasted fake and rubbery. My 1 y/o took one bite and spit it out, and threw the slice on the floor. When asked if I wanted a to-go box, I said "no thank you, the pizza wasn't good. My son didn't like it". The waitress said ok, thats it. My son did eat the fries, so I wasn't expecting it to be comped. But not even an apology about it being bad, or an inquiry.
Total for 1 kids pizza, 1 lb of wings and fries (keep in mind Ive never finished a lb of wings, these were tiny and we left hungry) a drink and a gravy- $40. $40 for an uneaten pizza, some fries, and a few tiny wings. Super...
Read moreVery disappointed. Came in tonight with my father, husband and son for dinner. I wanted to try a different restaurant but my father who has enjoyed the restaurant in the past wanted to see the renovations and new menu. Immediately I felt our server was too busy to take care of us as she always seemed to be backing up and trying to get away while we’re still talking. I asked for chicken tenders for my son. He was given “Dino nuggets” instead which obviously I was willing to get over because not a big deal but our server clearly was not listening to us. I ordered Chicken Fajitas and asked if I could please have the lettuce that comes with the “lettuce wraps” on your menu. Our food came very scattered so timing is so off and I was given broken pieces of Romaine to wrap around all the Fajita filling. My husband’s Turkey Club was so dry and a weird color as if sitting in the fridge uncovered for days. We sent it back. Manager apologized but our server was so oblivious to us she didn’t even know my husband didn’t eat and still had his meal on our bill which my dad nearly paid for. My father asked for an Irish coffee and received it with the bill. What a joke. Please look up what an Irish coffee looks like. To be charged $10 for a lukewarm coffee with pink lip marks on the glass is gross. My dad is too embarrassed to say anything but honestly, I feel like servers should know how to gauge when a table is already unhappy and couldn’t even brew my senior father a fresh pot of coffee. Not a...
Read moreWe live a 3 minute drive from the pub and have tried it 4 times in the past 5yrs. The first time, no one came to serve us. The bartender made eye contact with us and I thought he would send a server over but we left after waiting 15 mins without service. A year later we tried again, having heard the wings were great. 10 minute wait for a server who, through no fault of her own, had way too many tables. She was frantic and I felt awful for her. The food took almost an hour but was decent. The 3rd time was last winter and we stood at the door, waiting to be seated, as per the sign, for at least 5 mins. Again, the same male bartender made eye contact with us, no greeting, just went about his business and finally a server sat us. Nachos were made wrong and were not fixed as I am not one to make a scene but I did mention it so our server would realize. Last night was our last time trying this pub. We were there because it's down the street and my son wanted wings. Long wait at the door, no greeting from that same bartender, server was nice enough but the kitchen sent her out 20 mins after we ordered to say they were out of an item. Not her fault at all but wow...then I watched my son eat his wings while I waited for my second option to be cooked. Our server disappeared for a while so we had to ask another employee to get our bill for us as we had had enough. I'm a server who tips a minimum of 20% but last night I barely left 10%. It's a good menu but the service there is awful. We will...
