In Summary: Won't be back. The owner of this particular location is greedy and it can be assumed he's imposing 50% price increases from what's pushed out by Subway head quarters on the menu items. Owner also reluctant to speak to the reasoning for such inflated pricing.
The long version: I will not be back to this location, I bought a sub and my bill came to over $14.00, almost $15... for a sandwich is ridiculous first of all. They are very stingy with toppings and everything falls out when your eating it bc the employees don't take any care when making it, it's rushed.
I saw there was a new type of cheese, I wanted to try it. The lady at the counter said there would be an extra charge, which I expected. In my mind I was thinking, maybe an extra $0.50, MAYBE $0.75 at the most. To my surprise when I looked at my receipt after, I was charged OVER $2.00 for CHEESE!! I don't know where the owner of this location gets the nerve to charge this much for cheese, it's absurd!
I see there's a 1-800 number listed on the receipt and it says "Call us with your Comments" so I call to ask if there's a good reason for it to be so expensive. Only to find out that A) it's not a customer service line, it's actually just Subway head quarters and I need to go online to get to anyone and that Subway has EXPLICITY asked it's franchisee's to REMOVE this 1-800 number from their receipts -- so the question becomes why the owner of this location feels it's appropriate to leave this information on the receipt? To waste customers time?... B) They were also shocked to hear the pricing of this item, as Subway head office has the cheese listed at about 50% lower in price, and said that each franchisee sets their own pricing from there.. So the owner of this location has DELIBERATELY decided to push a 50% price increase on it's customers! I'm not sure what's worse honestly and that's just ONE menu item.. I can only imagine what increases they've put on the rest of the food...
So I go online and I send my concerns, and I get a crummy, impersonal, scripted response from the owner of this location. Making it clear that they are more concerned about profits than providing fair pricing to their customers and don't care to explain themselves either for that matter.
I'd be happy to update my review if I ever get a genuine response from the owner, all I got was some robotic blanketed response of "we're sorry to hear about your recent unpleasant experience." which firstly, is not at all genuine and secondly, did not address any mentioned concerns. At one time, way back in the $5 foot long days, they were a very regular go to for myself and many others I know. Now I just question how there are still so many Subway locations still in existence.
The food is basic at best. Fine selection of bread, which all tastes the same. The same can be said with their veggies. How is it possible that the veggies at Subway are practically tasteless? Maybe my taste buds are off but I doubt that.
I gave them a chance today. First time in about three years. I had heard advertisements claiming they had many new sandwiches and ways to order. When I went in I noticed the menu had considerable changes but everything was still pretty much the same.
I ordered a 12" roasted chicken sandwich on Italian herb and cheese bread. I asked for it to be toasted. I will admit I was pleased with how the sub was prepared. I have seen many other locations be very protective with putting toppings on the sandwiches so called me impressed here. Maybe that right there is the reason I decided to give this location a three star review.
The sandwich was ok. Nothing to get overly excited about. The flavour was just lacking even though I had it loaded with tomato, onion, green pepper and more. The hot sauce I had added to it was nice.

After mistakenly sending my order off with another person who just claimed my name, I spent 20 minutes here waiting while 2 separate staff members could t figure out what to do. Owner upon receiving a call from them was also unable to offer any assistance, was almost as if I was being treated like I was double pickup an order. A two sub order isn’t worth that kind of effort. Senior staff on duty then got the end of her shift apologized and left without offering any further assistance.
