A&W Canada — Restaurant in Ottawa

My boyfriend and I stopped by for breakfast before go to work. I ordered two classic breakfast combos using a coupon. While I was away from the table to add milk to the coffee, the dishes were brought. then after a few minutes, the waitress lady realized that the order for another senior couple sit behind us was given to us by mistake and what she was holding should be ours. My boyfriend did not realized that and not sure what exactly I ordered. it looks like ours, so he was putting honey onto the toast. Then the server Majela(Not sure the spelling) directly took the plate in front of him away without saying anything. And she drop the new plates very hard and rude, with a loud “dong...” sound, on to our table. And she went to apologize to the other couples without explaining anything to us the whole time. We finished our meals and left. when we got on to the car my boyfriend told me what happened in details and we think that we should not be treated like that. At least the lady should say something to us, instead of being such rude without a word. It is not our fault to get the wrong food. It was their mistake. So we went back to the restaurant to complained and asked her to apologize. My boyfriend was upset and lose his temper at the beginning. We explained what happened. my boyfriend calm down then. He apologized for yelling. We asked to talk to the manager. A person named Alexander came. He asked what happened and asked us what we want for several times. Asked if we wanna free meal or what. But it is not about food or money we just want be treated fair. I do not know if it is racism or what because of our Asian looking while the other senior couple is Caucasian. We just wanna be treated equal. We were very very upset. The manager said we are too sensitive. My boyfriend apologized to Majela for yelling at her. Eventually we left the restaurant, as we have to go to work. But this completely ruined our day. I do not know if anyone at that place care what happened to us because of the yelling and the crying. That made us like crazy people... Again, we are sorry for yelling and lose temper. I do not know if we are too sensitive to think it is kind of discrimination, but at least we should not be treat that way. I might be too emotional but even for now I still feel upset for being treated like that...

I was overcome with extreme hunger calling by this place since I was running late for everything all day and never got a chance to eat, I was prepared to spend half a fortune on a subpar unfilling meal but decided to check their app first. 4$ teen burgers (ended today but have seen this deal before) were happening so I grabbed that a fried and the potato piri piri buddy burger, all for 13 something dollars. I came in and mentioned I’d already ordered before using the bathroom just so the staff knew, the lady at the register was competent but friendly which isn’t always the experience with fast food places or online pickup orders, I did see my order was the first one on the display screen. The bathroom ash incredibly clean, probably the cleanest fast food washroom I’ve been to. My order was ready when I came out with the staff recognizing and handing it over without any need to mention, and while I’ve only been to a handful of a&w’s in person each time my order would be missing something. I was also expecting the 4$ teen burgers to be half assed given the deal, but to my surprise the food was all perfectly done, carefully packed, and even assembled in a very pleasing manner. The second worker double checked that my order wasn’t missing anything which was very considerate but for once it was all done correctly. The staff is all very busy and doing something including cleaning the tables and environment when not overloaded with customers. Overall, the place was very clean with comfortable seating layout and a very efficient and friendly team of staff, and was possibly the best in person experience ive ever had at any fast food location, with a filling and delicious meal at a reasonable cost (always check their...

Think twice before ordering and spending your hard earned money from this A&W Location, They seem to not care about the costumer or the quality and accuracy of food they serve.

I am forced to write a review for the public to view (I Tried to go the quiet route) because after almost 1 month of waiting for a response from either head office or this locations management or owner I have received no response whatsoever, nothing.

On August 12, 2020 My wife and I ordered (Uber eats) food from this A&W location we paid $39.00 with tax excluding the Uber eats delivery and tip. Now Uber eats delivered very quickly from the time of pickup to drop off so I have absolutely no complaints towards Uber eats. Almost every aspect of our order was wrong, cold, stale or missing

The 4 burgers ordered 2 Double Teen Burgers and 2 Double Buddy Burgers were old stale tasting and cold also missing toppings or added topping that were not asked for, Including missing extra paid toppings.

The 2 onion rings ordered were ice cold as if they were cooked and left out to sit for some time before our order was ever placed.

We asked for 2 Dip sauces (Jalapeno Ranch) and never received any.

This is 100% absolutely unacceptable. And to not have any response from anyone is beyond frustrating.

We have ordered from this location many times through Uber Eats in the past and have never had any issues. We Order Uber Eats as we do not drive and have no way to the restaurant. The food was always Fresh, Hot and made correct to order. Needless to say we are upset and very disappointed in this...
