The rude older lady with the grey/blonde hair is extremely Ill-mannered and unprofessional. Instead of getting a nice drink like I wanted, I felt like I was getting a visit from Norma Bates. I wish I had Kleenex on me to offer her for her snotty attitude. I understand having a bad day but this was probably a good day in her book cause she got to be rude at her job while getting paid. If her name is not Karen she should change it. Not to mention the drinks were extremely watered-down and honestly just gross. If I wanted that much water I would go to Niagara Falls with an empty fish tank. I also spotted health code violations galore. I was tempted to run into the loblaws and purchase a mop and some cleaning products and offer my assistance. I was also told to wait for my drinks less than 1 inch from mobile order drinks. Germs fly so fast that itâs concerning. I also was resting on a table and it was wobbly and I almost fell. At least if I fell Iâd be unconscious and hopefully woke up with amnesia to forget this experience. I love Starbucks but this location doesnât uphold the enthusiasm that other locations do. I will say, the person with the green hair is polite and at least treated me like a human. Long story short, go to A&w or...
Read moreI've been coming to this Starbucks location for a while since It's close to my work. The staff here are generally pretty good, and some of them know me and will ask me how my day is going. The location is pretty small and sometimes seems understaffed with long line ups. What I'm really fed up with, and it's really a complaint about Corporate, is that they have not brought back the self serve bar where you could fix your own cup of coffee with cream, sugar, etc. Other coffee shops brought them back ages ago. If I ask for two milks in my coffee, one day I get too much and the next day too little depending on who's making it. And I like the brown sugar rather than the white the staff always put in. I'd really rather just fix my own if I'm just getting drip coffee. I've been going to Bridghead more often because they have a self serve bar again. Also, the fact they they got cheap with their rewards program and now you need twice as many stars to get anything with them is annoying, like prices haven't gone up enough. Starbucks used to be good, but they seem to be declining...
Read moreI hesitate to write about my negative experience here given it was the day after the storm and they were ridiculously busy, but the actions of the staff caused needless frustration and stress. I made an order on their app and purposely went in about 45 minutes after the order given the huge waits, even though the app gives an estimate of 10 minutes to prepare your order (side note, what kind of company doesn't have a real time wait in their app?! I digress). Staff were literally shuffling chits and not going in order.. I waited but had to cancel my order as I had people waiting for me at home and family circling in the car..I asked one of the staff if I can cancel the order and she said yes through the app..except there is no such way to do that! I had to contact Starbucks customer service for a refund! Sad considering without a proper cancellation they would have made my order at some point anyways, so it didn't help the employee to dismiss me by providing false information. I get they were overwhelmed but it was handled exceptionally poorly...
